Tummy Bugs:
(So basically, 3-4 one shots rolled into one lol. I'm doing each of the kids' first time throwing up, plus another request for Hailey getting sick while pregnant with Emma and she, Jay, Oakley, and Jackson have a movie day in bed. Obviously AU and set in the future!)
ALSO!!! For those who do celcius for temps, in America, the base/normal body temp is about 98.6, so above that is a fever.

Oakley:
Oakley Mae was barely 4 when she got her first real tummy bug.
Jay was sound asleep when the door to he and Hailey's room opened and the sound of crying followed, breaking him out of his sleep as he shot up, finding his four-year-old in the darkness.
"Oakley, what's wrong?! Did you have an accident?" He asked, panicked as he lifted her onto his lap.
"Head huwts!" She sobbed, absolutely hysterical as she clutched her head. Jay turned on the lamp and felt her head for a bump, trying to see if she'd hit her head at all.
"Did you hit your head?" He asked, wiping her tears.
"No. Daddy, it huwts!" She wailed, curling into a ball in his arms.
"Okay, I know, baby. I know. Crying isn't going to help. Lay down on mommy's side and I'll go get some tylenol and your water," Jay tried to put her on the bed, but she cried harder and clung to him.
"Shhh, daddy's got you, Oaks. Take a deep breath, baby. Take a deep breath. You can come with me," Jay stood with her in his arms and walked to the kitchen of their apartment.
He took Oakley's temperature and noted that it was elevated, but not much. She was at 99.1. Then he set her on the counter and tucked her messy, strawberry blonde hair behind her ears and studied her face. She was a little pale.
"Sit still for me while I get the Tylenol, kiddo," he kissed her head and she nodded with a small sob.
Oakley was scared and didn't feel good. Her head hurt and her tummy felt kinda funny. But daddy would help her, she knew that. She did wish her mommy was home, though.
Jay measured out the right amount of medicine and convinced Oakley to take it, followed by a few sips of water. She reached up for him after and rested her head on his shoulder.
"Let's go back to sleep for a little while, let the medicine work," she nodded a little and whined when he walked by the door to her room, pointing in there.
Jay knew she wanted her blanket and turtle, so he grabbed them and went to he and Hailey's room then laid down with Oakley on his chest. He was hopeful she'd go back to sleep and feel better, but Oakley started fidgeting and crying again fifteen minutes later so he sat up a little and rubbed her back.
"Talk to me, baby girl," he encouraged her and she looked up at him with teary blue eyes.
"Tummy huwts. Daddyyyyy," she started kicking her legs and holding her stomach and Jay's worry only grew.
"Let's go sit on the potty, Oaks," he scooped her up and set her down by the toilet, waiting for her to get her panties down before setting her on the toilet. His little girl was prone to getting constipated, so he wondered if that was the issue.
Hailey had been gone for a few days with Kim, Natalie, Vanessa, Stella, Maggie, and Sylvie. They were on a girls trip to the cabin in Wisconsin, and celebrating Hailey's pregnancy. She was 4 months pregnant with their second child after almost two years of trying following an unexpected miscarriage. So, Jay was on full dad duty, and while he and Oakley loved every minute, they'd both been missing Hailey, who would be back by bedtime that night.
Jay washed his face while Oakley used the bathroom, stopping when she walked over to him to wash her hands. "Did you go?" He asked and she nodded and went back to their bed, curling into a ball.
