(I got a request for 9.07; Platt finds Hailey upset after the argument with Jay and can't calm her down. Hailey is terrified Jay is going to leave her. And I've got an idea for a 9.22 oneshot (potentially a story but IDK yet. I'm going to try my best to get the one shot out before I leave Sunday to work at a camp most of the summer)

"Okay, you need to talk to me," Hailey said once they were away from everyone else.
"Hailey, I don't wanna do this right now."
Hailey shook her head, "No. We're not doing that anymore. It's not working. You're angry, Jay. I get that and you should be. But you're ignoring me, you're sniping at Voight. I-it's the wrong way to handle this!"
"Is that what you think? Can I not have a real argument against him? I gotta back him all the time because that's what you do?" He was getting frustrated, and it was all coming out on the person he loved.
"No! I don't!" Hailey's brow creased. "And just because I don't back you when you're challenging him doesn't mean I'm taking his side. I make my own choices, Jay. No one controls me. Not him and not you! I made my own choices that night. I showed up there. But I'm still me!" Her voice was cracking and she grew quiet as she spoke, trying desperately to fight the tears. "You're acting like I'm not. You barely talk to me. I... I don't know what to do anymore."
Jay slowly nodded, fighting tears of his own. "I don't know either. I am doing the best that I can with it, Hailey. Right now, this is the best that I got." He walked out of the observation room, knowing they both needed some space before either one of them said something they'd regret later.
Hailey stood there, taking slow breaths as she tried not to break down. But it all became too much and she slid to the ground in tears. She was losing the one person that mattered most to her. He'd said he wasn't going to leave her, but now he hardly even acknowledged her.
The anxiety took over and she couldn't breathe. She wanted Jay to still love her. She understood that he was mad, but she didn't want to be treated this way. She'd grown up being treated horribly, and Jay had promised he would never do that to her. He'd never treat her like she didn't matter. But here they were.
Hailey was too upset to notice that Jay hadn't closed the door to the observation room all the way, or that Trudy was walking by and heard her panicked breathing and cries. So when Trudy put a hand on her knee, she jumped in fear.
"Hey, hey, Hailey, it's okay. It's just me," Platt said quickly, not meaning to startle the distraught blonde. Hailey looked up at her and dissolved into deep sobs again.
"Oh, kiddo. What's going on?" Trudy sat down next to Hailey and put an arm around her.
Hailey tried to catch her breath but couldn't. "Easy, you're okay. In and out," Trudy coached her and Hailey managed to slow her panicked breathing.
"He's gonna leave me, he hates me," she sobbed.
"Who, Jay?" Hailey nodded as she sobbed.
"Goldilocks, that man is so in love with you. He isn't going to leave you. What on earth would make you think that?" Trudy was confused.
"I killed Roy," and then it all came out. Hailey told her everything before she lost it again and Trudy wrapped her in a hug.
"Hailey, he loves you. He's just upset with the situation. Jay isn't always good at handling his emotions, we both know that. He's not doing it right, but it will be okay. I promise. Now, can you calm down before you make yourself sick?" Trudy asked( running a hand through Hailey's waves.
Hailey couldn't. She wanted, no she needed, Jay. Trudy quickly realized that at that moment Hailey wasn't going to be able to settle down until she knew Jay wouldn't leave her and that he did still love her.
"Shhh, Hailey," she said as she pulled out her phone and called Jay.
Jay looked at his phone and answered it when he saw Platt was calling him.
J: you couldn't just come up here?
P: get your ass into the second observation room now.
J: huh?
P: get in here now.
J: um, okay.
He hung up and went in there, jaw dropping when he saw Platt on the ground with Hailey, who was hysterical. "What happened?!" He asked, dropping to his knees infront of Hailey.
"She's scared you're going to leave her and that you hate her. Look, I get why you're upset, Halstead. She told me everything, but you are mad at the wrong person and you need to get it together and be here for Hailey. Otherwise, you and I are going on a little drive and they won't find your body. Understood?" It was no secret that Platt had a soft spot for the girl she'd helped back in 2003, but Jay had never seen her so protective.
"Yes ma'am," he said, knowing she was right.
"Hail, baby, can you come here?" He asked, sitting down on the floor.
Hailey looked up at him and Trudy carefully nudged her towards Jay, though she didn't leave the room. Hailey melted into the hug Jay wrapped her in, it had been a few weeks since he'd really hugged her.
"Please don't hate me. Don't leave me," she begged through her sobs.
"Shhh, focus on my voice, baby. I'm so sorry I've been such an ass. I'm not leaving you, Hailey Anne. I love you so much and I'm sorry I've made you feel like I didn't. I'm mad, but not at you. Never at you, Hails. I'm so sorry," Hailey focused on Jay's words and nodded as she cried. She held tightly to his shirt, scared he would still disappear.
Trudy kept a hand on Hailey's back as Jay apologized to her and waited until Hailey had mostly calmed down before she got up and left them alone.
It took a while, but Hailey calmed down and she and Jay talked it out for half an hour before they hugged and got off the floor. They finished the work day and went home, cooked dinner together, and Jay held Hailey until she fell asleep.
