Hailey had never been so cold in her life. Ever. She'd tried to insist she was fine when she was in the ambulance, but didn't argue when the paramedic told her to get her wet coat off and gave her a heating pack. She was shivering violently and it hurt a little, not that she would admit it.

They got to med and Hailey shakily got out of the ambulance after they got the man out. She slowly followed them into the ED and looked around, hoping to find the woman, when someone was suddenly infront of her.

"Hailey, what happened?! Are you okay?" It was Will, and she was relieved to see a familiar face.

"I'm f-f-i-i-ine," she stuttered as she shivered. "The wo-woman, have they, h-have they brought her i-in?" She asked, forcing her body to still so she could speak.

"What woman?" Will asked, alarmed at how cold Hailey was. "Hailey, why are you all wet? What the hell happened?"

"I'm fine," she insisted, getting frustrated. She just wanted to know if the woman was okay.

"She's not fine, man. She was in the Chicago river," the paramedic, who's name she couldn't remember, said.

"What, Hailey! Come on, you need to be examined," Will took her arm but let go when Hailey flinched and let out a pained noise, her eyes filling with tears as she shook.

"Woah, sis, I'm not going to hurt you. Can I see?" Will asked gently when he noticed the way she was cradling her left wrist.

"Y'all we got a gun! Call security to disarm it!" Hailey looked over with wide eyes and hurried to the room.

"I can disarm it, I-I'm a cop," she spoke up.

"No, Hailey, security will do it. You need to get checked out, now," Will insisted, turning Hailey towards another exam room.

"No!" Hailey resisted.

"Yes, Hailey. Come on," he got her into an exam bay and handed her a gown before he closed the curtain and stepped out.

Hailey changed and got on the bed and wrapped the blanket around herself as she shivered. She wanted to call Jay, but they had her phone.

"I'm done," she called quietly and Will came back in and took her temperature.

"You're at 95 degrees, Hails. We need to get that up. I'm hooking you to warm saline," Will got her on an IV before she could protest and he listened to her breathing.

"Can I just use my phone?" Hailey tried.

"I don't have it, but i called Jay, he didn't answer so I called Platt, she's on her way and said she'd bring some warm clothes for you. Let me see your wrist," Hailey held it put and Will frowned when he saw the cut and bruising.

"What happened?" He asked, sitting next to his sister-in-law so he could check her wrist.

"I saw the accident. The car went in the river and it was sinking. So I jumped in. I got him out, and the lady, she grabbed my wrist and pulled really hard, it hit the steering wheel. I got him up and then I went back for her, but I couldn't find the car. I tried, Will, I tried so hard," Hailey was trying not to cry and Will pulled her into a hug.

"You did good, Hailey. No matter what happens, you did good. Let's take a look at that wrist. Can you move it?" He asked, gently holding it and she rotated it.

"It's sore," she admitted quietly.

"It's just a slight sprain, but be careful with it, sis. Is anything else hurt?" Will asked, now standing infront of Hailey.
