(I got a request for Jay finding Hailey in the shower, sobbing, fully clothed. So, here we go. Sorry it took me so long to update, the end of the week got super busy. I'll try to get a few out next week, but I'm nannying all week and likely won't have much free time)

"Did you and Voight get any leads?" Jay asked once she'd walked into her apartment.

All Hailey could do was shake her head. She didn't want to try talking yet, she'd already cried a lot and had no doubt she'd probably cry again before the end of the night.

"Are you okay?" She nodded slowly.

Jay knew something was wrong, he could tell she'd been crying, her hands were shaking, and she was breathing kinda fast. But he was quickly learning that it was easier to let Hailey come to him when she was ready than it was to press her for information. That normally made her mad or caused her to shut down.

"Alright, well, Will's gonna meet us there, so we should get going," he went to open the door when Hailey finally spoke.

"I love you, Jay," it was out of nowhere. Yes, they'd said it already, and they did really love each other, but something wasn't right.

"I love you too," he said, watching as her eyes got red and she struggled to speak for a moment.

"You're just so... decent. And i just-" Jay could see she was about to lose it.

"Hey, hey, it's okay. We're gonna be okay," he stepped closer and put a hand on her arm.

"I don't wanna be without you," Hailey wasn't entirely sure where she was going with this, she was running off fear, guilt, adrenaline, her love for Jay, and her desperate need to never lose the one good, stable person in her life.

"You're not gonna be," Jay smiled gently and made eye contact with Hailey. She was trying so hard not to break down.

"Maybe we should get married," Hailey's words came out before she knew what was going on. Jay looked at her, tears in his green eyes. "I'm serious, let's get married." She continued.

"What? Really?" He was confused and slightly shocked. Jay knew he wanted to marry Hailey, but less than eight weeks ago, she was panicked by "I love you" (for good reason).

"I don't wanna be without you," she said again. He could feel how bad she was shaking. Something had scared her tonight.

"Hailey, I dont wanna be without you. That doesn't mean—"

"I love you," he could tell she was getting desperate. "More than anything. I want to start a new chapter, a better chapter, with you," she was starting to lose her fight with her tears when Jay's phone rang.

He felt her jump at the sound and he rubbed her arm, trying to calm her down a little. "We really gotta get to the hospital, um..." Jay didn't want Hailey to think that he was blowing her off, but something bad had happened and she was obviously scared. They needed to address that first before he even gave her an answer.

"Right," he could see the defeat in her eyes and felt bad. "I'm gonna take a quick shower, okay?" She looked at him for permission, which was another tell that something had spooked her; Hailey only ever asked permission when she was worried someone would be mad at her.

"Okay," Jay gave her another gentle smile and she walked off.

He sat down and listened for her while he texted Kevin that they'd be there soon. He also texted Will and Platt the same thing. Then he started another text to Platt.

J: did you see Hailey before she left the district? Or when she got back there? I know we're all freaked out about Kim, but something else has Hailey really freaked out and she's not saying much. Do you know anything?
