Rosalie wasn't sure why she'd been thinking about Henry all of a sudden. She had picked up her things at Pennelope's and everything that she'd left at Lee's place. Lee had tried to convince Rosalie to have a late lunch with her, but Rosalie didn't give in. She didn't intend to spend more time than necessary with Lee, especially since she'd found it taxing to be around her.
As Rosalie stood in front of Elizabeth's house, her mind replayed what had transpired the last time that she'd been there. Her stomach did flips as a smile spread across her lips. She'd tried her best not to think of Elizabeth, especially since she knew that it was a bad idea. There were a lot of rabbit holes to fall down, and it seemed as though pursuing Elizabeth was one. As much as she'd enjoyed the kissing, Rosalie held no deep feelings for Elizabeth, which was a good thing. She'd spend numerous sleepless nights thinking about all the reasons why what they did was wrong. And she'd think the same thing over and over again, maybe trying to convince herself of the pros instead of the cons.
Rosalie had always been stubborn. And she hadn't told her mother everything just yet. If Kaitlyn knew about Rosalie being in contact with Zoe, the woman would flip. Kaitlyn had always loved Zoe, and talked about her to that very day. And if she found out about the strange feelings that Rosalie had been having for Elizabeth, she'd have dragged Rosalie to Elizabeth's house herself, for sure.
When Rosalie pressed the doorbell, she also closed her eyes. Her heart's pace sped, and her chest tensed. The door opened, and Elizabeth's eyes met hers instantly. She was wearing only a robe, since she'd just gotten out of the shower.
"Rosalie, I wasn't expecting a visit."
Rosalie stepped inside and Elizabeth closed the door. Elizabeth hadn't seen or heard from Rosalie since Henry's birthday party. And she'd grown worried that she'd scared Rosalie off.
"Is Henry home?"
That's what she came for? Elizabeth crossed her arms over her chest and shook her head. It hurt that Rosalie didn't care that much for her feelings.
"No, he's at Michelle's."
Rosalie smiled and placed her hand on Elizabeth's waist. Even though her intentions were to see Henry, they had changed when she saw Elizabeth.
"We finalized the breakup. I'm single."
Rosalie brushed a strand of Elizabeth's hair behind her ear and kissed the tip of her chin. She didn't expect Elizabeth to pull away from her and look at her with painful eyes.
"So where have you been all this time? You can't just show up and think I'll fall into your arms."
Elizabeth went through her fair share of disappointments in the past, but she'd been extremely uneasy about what happened with Rosalie. Rosalie would have been Henry's step mother-her ex-wife's future wife. And just because they'd broken up didn't mean that there weren't complications. What would Henry say? She didn't care what Lee had to say, but she cared for her son and his feelings.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have come."
Rosalie reached for the door, but Elizabeth placed her hand on Rosalie's shoulder.
"I'm just not sure we can be something given all the history you have with Lee."
Rosalie had the same doubts and fears. But as much as she'd tried to stick to the cons, the one pro that triumphed everything was that she was developing feelings for Elizabeth-feelings that she wished she wouldn't. Rosalie turned to look into those brown eyes. Elizabeth's hair was up in a messy bun, and the robe was wrapped loosely around her body. Rosalie hated temptation. She'd never been able not to indulge, but she couldn't. Not in that situation. Not in that moment. She couldn't let her desire tamper with the strings of both of their hearts.
"I understand. Tell Henry that I'll text him tomorrow. Can I take him somewhere on Saturday?"
"Where?"
The heat of Elizabeth's breath soothed Rosalie's facial features. She'd suddenly become relaxed, but the twitching in her pants was escalating. She need to leave, and soon.
"I'm not sure. I'll ask him what he wants to do. Michelle's probably going to come too."
Elizabeth nodded as she stepped forward. Needless to say, she was tempted too.
"It really turns me on how much you care for him."
Elizabeth whispered. She thought Rosalie was beautiful, but Rosalie's personality was breathtaking.
"Oh... I do care for him... a lot."
Rosalie gulped as Elizabeth sank her teeth into her bottom lip. The tension was rising.
"I'd say my panties are soaked, if I had any on."
As those words slipped through Elizabeth's lips, Rosalie's stomach flipped and a moan unintentionally escaped her lips. She placed the palm of her hand over her mouth and her cheeks became heated. Elizabeth grinned as her eyes narrowed onto Rosalie's luscious lips.
"I... uh..."
Elizabeth placed the tip of her index finger over Rosalie's lips and hushed her. She wanted to kiss Rosalie, and even make love to her. Elizabeth hadn't been touched in a very long time, and she wanted Rosalie. Though she couldn't-she wouldn't. Rosalie wasn't just a piece of meat to her, and she wanted Rosalie to know that.
"You have a beautiful personality."
Rosalie was a bit surprised. No one had ever told her that before. She expected-you are beautiful. Everyone was attracted to her. Was Elizabeth not attracted to her? She frowned and felt her heart sink.
"Thanks, I guess."
Rosalie mumbled, making Elizabeth quirk a brow. She'd thought that Rosalie would appreciate her comment, not dislike it.
"That was a compliment, by the way."
Rosalie wasn't sure what to think. Of course, it was a compliment. But did that mean Elizabeth only wanted her because of her personality?
"So you only like me for my personality?"
Elizabeth grinned. She grazed the pad of her thumb against Rosalie's cheek and smiled.
"And other things too, but especially your personality."
Rosalie gulped. Her legs felt as though they would turn to jelly. Did Elizabeth just tell her everything she'd ever wanted to hear? She'd taken it in the wrong way at first, but realized that it was the sweetest thing that anyone had ever told her.
Elizabeth looked as a tear escaped Rosalie's eye. Why was she crying? Did Elizabeth say something wrong?
"Really?"
Elizabeth pulled Rosalie into her so that her head rested against Elizabeth's chest.
"Of course. You're beautiful, but to me, mostly on the inside. Your heart, your mind, your soul... they all make up the best parts of you."
Rosalie wrapped her arms around Elizabeth's neck as she pressed the woman against the door.
"That's the sweetest thing I've ever heard."
Elizabeth's eyes fluttered as Rosalie leaned closer, their lips brushing.
"It's just how I feel. You are gorgeous, Rosalie. But I'm more interested on what's on the inside than out."
Rosalie pulled away and placed her hands in Elizabeth's. She hadn't felt so turned in a while, but didn't want to ruin the moment. The moment was romantic and sensational, where Rosalie didn't feel pressured to reveal her goods, yet she wanted to.
"We shouldn't..."
"I know." Elizabeth led Rosalie up the stairs and into her bedroom. Rosalie sat down on Elizabeth's bed as Elizabeth went into her walk-in closet to get dressed. Elizabeth popped her head out behind the door, her body hidden, to Rosalie's dismay. "I'll be out in a bit."
Rosalie sank her teeth into her bottom lip and rubbed the back of her neck with the palm of her hand. She was horny, for sure. Tightening her knees, she just couldn't help herself as she got up and headed into the closet.
Elizabeth was only in her panties and bra when she'd noticed Rosalie by the door. Rosalie swallowed as her eyes roamed over Elizabeth's seductive body. Elizabeth was indeed gorgeous. Rosalie stepped forward, her eyes locked with Elizabeth's. She placed her hands on Elizabeth's waist and ran the tip of her tongue along the surface of her bottom lip.
"Am I allowed to say that you're gorgeous?"
Elizabeth smiled and nodded. She placed her hands on Rosalie's shoulder and inhaled a deep breath.
"You can say whatever you want, as long as you kiss me after."
Rosalie pressed her lips against Elizabeth's, eliciting a soft moan from them both. Elizabeth's body felt as though it would melt under Rosalie's touch. Her knees were becoming weak, and as Rosalie's hand ran over the fabric of her underwear, her center twitched violently.
"Fuck."
Elizabeth whispered against Rosalie's lips. Rosalie slipped her fingers under Elizabeth's panties, and pulled the fabric off of her hips. Elizabeth didn't hesitate as Rosalie kissed over her collarbone and in between her breasts. Rosalie got on her knees, and ran her tongue over Elizabeth's navel, before trailing down to the woman's mound.
Her eyes felt as though they were seeing a heavenly creation. The wetness glistening on Elizabeth's folds enticed Rosalie to lick along her slit. Elizabeth moaned and placed the palm of her hand behind Rosalie's head. She pressed Rosalie into her, and moved her right leg over Rosalie's shoulder.
Being touched never felt so good before. Maybe because it was forbidden, or the temptation that sat with them for all those weeks-it was the wait, and built up tension.
Rosalie looked up at Elizabeth as she leaned against the wall, her body slipping onto the floor. Elizabeth brushed her palm against Rosalie's cheek as Rosalie continued to lick her. Elizabeth's breathing was heavy, and her hips rocked against Rosalie's face. She'd never felt her orgasm peeking so soon before, and was about to release all the tension she'd kept for so long. Looking into Rosalie's eyes, she didn't see infatuation. Instead, she saw passion and need. And it was all for her. Elizabeth never thought that she would feel that way again-to be falling for someone. But she was, even though she tried to hold back. She couldn't stop her heart from longing for Rosalie, as much as she'd convinced herself.
