ANDREW RAN AROUND the house with his new transformer toy. As for Abbi, she was cuddled up with her bear in the living room and watching television with her grandmother.
Rosalie yawned, as she rested her head onto her wife's lap. They were enjoying the few minutes of alone time, before Abbi would call for them.
"I love that you still smell like strawberries, even after all these years."
Elizabeth hummed and ran her fingers through her wife's hair.
"You smell the same too, bunny. Except you've taken a liking to cherry blossom body lotion," Rosalie flipped over, so that her back faced Elizabeth, "back rub?"
Rosalie nodded and sighed, as Elizabeth began to work her fingers magically.
"You think we would have still ended up together if I did marry Lee first?"
The question made them both uneasy. Elizabeth gulped and pulled Rosalie's shirt over her head and through her arms. Unhooking Rosalie's bra, she tilted her head to the side.
"I'm not sure we would be together if you did. It would have made things far more complicated than they already were."
Rosalie moaned, as Elizabeth caressed her bare skin. It felt a hundred times better without clothing in the way.
"I'd like to think we would have found each other no matter the circumstance."
Elizabeth smiled and sank her knuckles into Rosalie's lower back, just the way she liked it.
"I like that too."
