They were days away from the big day, and everyone was yet to make it to Hawaii. Charlotte wanted to get married with the sand in between her toes, and the bright sun kissing their faces. Kaitlyn didn't care how it happened, she just wanted her wife-to-be to be happy.
Zoe and her family were excited for the weekend getaway, especially since Margaret was home, never again to leave them again. Her last deployment went as smoothly as any mission could have.
"Bunny, have you seen my diamond earrings?" Elizabeth asked as she hurried to pack her suitcase.
"Which ones?" Rosalie was busy drycleaning Abbi's toy bear. You'd think a large stuffed animal like this could clean itself.
Elizabeth walked into Abbi's room, only to find a mess, "I thought you were going to clean in here."
"I did yesterday. You need to teach your kid how to stay organized."
"Last time I checked, she's our kid. Why don't you talk to her about it?"
"I have," Rosalie looked at Miss Bear and sighed. She was exhausted.
"If you were more strict with her, we wouldn't have this problem," Rosalie placed her palm against her forehead.
"Me?" What about you?" Elizabeth crossed her arms over her chest.
"I'm not the one who buys her everything she wants, even when she doesn't deserve it."
"Have you seen those big eyes?" Rosalie lifted the bear and placed it in the corner of the room, with Abbi's other stuffed animals.
"You know when I talk to her it doesn't end well." Elizabeth grabbed a toy box and started picking up blocks from the floor.
"You confiscate her phone, I don't see how that helps.
"She's not suppose to have one in the first place. How many times have I told you to stop buying her excessive things that she does not need."
"I don't do that," Rosalie scoffed.
"Sure, you don't."
Elizabeth sat down on the floor and hugged her knees. She didn't feel like cleaning.
"I'll finish up in here. Go check my dresser for your earrings."
"Right," Elizabeth headed into their room and began to check the drawers. As women, they had separate storage for their items, which was a necessity, since they both had a lot of stuff. If she didn't buy me diamonds, I might not have any.
Elizabeth never experienced luxury the way she had in the past ten years after marrying Rosalie. She'd never purchased anything above a couple hundred, but she suddenly owned items worth thousands, which she hadn't bought on her own. Rosalie loved to spoil everyone in her life, especially the woman who kept her heart.
She decided to check their closet, in case it was on one of the shelves or drawers. She didn't expect to find a little, red box in the pocket of one of Rosalie's trench coats. Becoming curious, she took a peek inside.
It's a ring. A very big, shiny, diamond ring. Elizabeth looked at the one on her finger and noticed that it was a massive difference, not that the size of a ring mattered to her.
What's she doing with such an expensive ring? Elizabeth placed it back where she found it and left the closet. It's probably for her mom. Maybe it's for Charlotte.
Elizabeth grabbed the hairbrush off of her dresser and began to comb her hair. It's definitely not for some woman. She didn't even worry about that. She truly believed that Rosalie would never cheat on her.
She went back to packing and looked at the time. It was almost time to pick Abbi up from school, "babe, I'm all done."
Rosalie walked in and jumped onto the bed, "you have to pack."
"Can I do it tomorrow?" Rosalie closed her eyes and groaned.
"We're leaving tonight, silly," Elizabeth grabbed Rosalie's feet and pulled her off of the bed.
"Babe!" Elizabeth giggled, as Rosalie's ass hit the floor.
"Need me to kiss it better?" Rosalie closed her eyes and shook her head.
"I'm hurt," she pouted and tilted her head down.
"Aw, I'm sorry," Elizabeth kissed Rosalie's forehead and helped her back onto the bed. Rosalie stretched her neck and fell backward, her head resting against the bedsheets.
"I have no energy to retaliate."
"You take a nap, I'll pick Abbi up from school."
"Okay, can you grab ice cream on the way home?" Rosalie curled into a ball and fixed her head onto a pillow.
"Sure, anything else?"
"Can you make me a sandwich for dinner?" Elizabeth smiled.
"Yes. Get some rest, bunny."
"Okay, love you."
"I love you too."
