MICHELLE AND BARBARA left the next day, before Abbi even woke up. When she looked for them, the scream that escaped her lips when she realized that they were gone, woke up the entire house. Rosalie soothed her daughter, while everyone else was in the kitchen making breakfast.
"You know, I never even asked you what you do for a living."
Kaitlyn said. Charlotte smiled against the rim of her coffee cup. They'd talked about a lot of things, which made her wonder how Kaitlyn hadn't realized yet.
"I'm an escort," Kaitlyn's eyes widened, including Elizabeth's. Charlotte giggled, "I'm a freelance photographer, Kaitlyn."
Kaitlyn placed her hand over her chest in relief. That would have been something else if true.
"No wonder you can keep up with my rambling about a single red rose."
Elizabeth smiled, as Kaitlyn and Charlotte talked throughout breakfast. Rosalie observed the two of them carefully, and could see something amazing building. Maybe mum's finally found something real. But it's still too soon to tell.
Rosalie looked at her wedding band and smiled. Feeling the diamonds against her fingers, she remembered that she had to get Elizabeth to sign some papers. Grabbing them from her suitcase, she placed them in front of her wife with a smile.
"I'd like for you to read these and sign to confirm. If there's an issues, we'll address them."
Elizabeth was confused, but when she looked over the papers, she felt that uneasy feeling.
"Bunny, I'm not signing any of these," she looked up at her wife, "why would you-"
"Because things happen, and I want to make sure that you'll be okay," Elizabeth sighed and pushed the papers away, "please don't be like that."
"I don't intend to divorce you, so I don't have to sign those," Rosalie placed her hands in her wife's and looked into her eyes, "we're forever, that's what you said. Why-" Elizabeth choked up, "why do you have those?"
Rosalie pulled her wife into her arms and placed a kiss on her cheek.
"You never signed a prenup, but in case we do get a divorce, I need you to sign these, so that you'll get what's rightfully yours."
"Nothing you own is mine, and you think we'll get a divorce," Elizabeth's eyes welled up, "that's what you think of when you think about our future?"
Rosalie shook her head and placed kisses all over Elizabeth's face, as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"No, babe. I want us to be together forever. But we both don't know what the future might hold. Things happen; bad things. I need to make sure that I put things in place now, in case I'm not in my right mind then. Because if I ever divorce you, I'd probably be out of my mind."
The thought of divorce alone got Elizabeth so emotional. She'd never felt so afraid of something that hadn't even happened.
"Promise me that you wouldn't just give up on me. No matter what it is. You have to try your hardest to keep me."
"Can you promise me the same thing?" Elizabeth nodded immediately, "I promise, Elizabeth. I promise to always fight for us, no whatever what."
"I promise too, bunny," Elizabeth rested her head against Rosalie's chest and closed her eyes, "I'm so emotional, I'm sorry."
Rosalie kissed the top of her head.
"Cry me a river, babe. You can always cry me a river. I'll always be here to comfort you."
"Ugh, you've got an aging lesbian crying like a baby," Elizabeth wiped her eyes and leaned back, looking into her wife's eyes, "you're crying too?"
Elizabeth noticed the tears streaming down Rosalie's cheeks and wiped them away with her fingers, and Rosalie did the same for her.
"I couldn't help myself," Rosalie sheepishly smiled, "you know, I get why you're so insecure when it comes to Lee. I sometimes forget that she cheated on you with me."
Elizabeth sighed and bit down on her bottom lip. Now it makes a lot more sense.
"Wow, not even I realized that," Rosalie wiped some more tears from Elizabeth's face, "promise me something else, will you?" Rosalie nodded, "never be nice to her," Rosalie furrowed her brows, "if you two get along, then my insecurities start running wild."
"Anything for you, babe. That might be one of the simplest things you've ever asked me to do."
Elizabeth pushed Rosalie back onto the bed and straddled her lap.
"Good. I love you so much."
Rosalie smiled and Elizabeth placed a kiss on her forehead, as her fingers slipped under her shirt.
"I love you too, Elizabeth. So please sign those papers, okay? It's also for your protection in case I suddenly die. Everything will automatically be transferred in your name, even if we're already divorced."
"Fine. I'll sign them after I'm finished with you," Elizabeth whispered against Rosalie's lips, as her hand flicked a nipple, "I need something to cheer me up."
"Finished with me, huh?"
Rosalie moaned, as Elizabeth's lips moved along her neck, and toward her chest.
"Yes, bunny. I've wanted to eat you ever since you screamed my name in the shower. That was the best Christmas present."
Elizabeth grinned, as she lifted Rosalie's shirt, exposing her marvelously toned stomach. How does this woman feel insecure when she looks this good?
"Mhmm, someone could walk in," Rosalie sat up, her chest heaving, "I'm so wet for you," she whispered, taking Elizabeth's hands and pressing it against the crotch of her jeans, "can you feel that, baby?"
Elizabeth took an inhale of breath, as her wife's core twitched against her fingers. Fuck, I'd strip you down and fuck you, if I wasn't worried that Abbi would walk in.
Rosalie kissed her wife's lips and stood, trying her best not to tackle her to the floor.
"I'm going to take a shower," Elizabeth said with heavy breaths, "I can't promise not to touch myself while in there."
Elizabeth pulled her wife's hand, causing Rosalie to fall upon her lap.
"Maybe we could just lock the door? I need you so badly."
"Now, that's what I like to hear."
