No More Kisses!

"MOMMY, I WANT more pancakes. Andrew does too. Can you make more unicorns, pwease."
Abbi looked at Rosalie standing by the stove with a gigantic bowl of pancake mix in between her arm.
"Beth, I don't want to be a housewife anymore," Elizabeth chuckled, as she dealt with the bacon. Rosalie wiped her forehead and continued to shape Abbi's batter, to her liking, on the pan, "I need a vacation."
"We're already on vacation, bunny."
Elizabeth placed a kiss on her wife's lips and smacked her ass. Rosalie frowned and pouted.
"Honey, you need some help there?"
Kaitlyn offered, but Rosalie was the only one in the house who could shape pancakes perfectly.
"You know Abbi would never forgive you if you ruin her unicorns."
"I want a puppy!"
Andrew yelled, as Zoe fed him scrambled eggs. The kitchen was a mess from him running around and eating at the same time.
"Babe, we're not having anymore kids."
Elizabeth giggled.
"I'm too old for another one anyway."
Barbara and Kaitlyn sat back and drank their coffees, while reading the newspaper. Henry picked up Abbi and placed her on his shoulders.
"Mommy, I'm taller than you."
Yasmin looked at how good Henry was with his little sister. Maybe someday, they'd have a little bundle of joy of their own.
"Yes, sweetie. Now, get down and eat these pancakes that I made for you."
"But mommy," Abbi whined, "can't you go make kissy faces with mama and leave us to play? I promise to eat my pancakes."
The entire kitchen erupted in laughter. And the blush on both Rosalie's and Elizabeth's faces were very noticable.
"As I said, I love that kid."
Michelle held her tummy, as laugh after laugh escaped her lips. Even Henry was laughing, because he knew it was true-they were always kissing.
"I'm not ashamed to kiss my wife."
Rosalie said, as she threw the empty bowl into the sink full of dishes. Wiping her forehead again, she began to fill the dishwasher.
"Sure, your face looks like a tomato, my dear daughter."
Rosalie glared around the room and Elizabeth decided to pull her in for a kiss. Everyone cooed, as Rosalie's hands fell upon her wife's hips.
Abbi placed her hands over Henry's eyes and he placed his hands over hers.
"No more kisses!"
Abbi puffed out her cheeks, as the voices in the room settled down. Rosalie smiled widely, as Elizabeth placed one last kiss on the back of her hand.
"I can't promise anything, sweetie."
Rosalie grinned and Elizabeth winked at her. Elizabeth began to help her wife load the dishwasher, as everyone else finished breakfast.
Henry, Abbi and Yasmin had gotten into their winter gear to play in the snow once again. As for Zoe and Margaret, they were giving Andrew a bath, before taking him to play too.
The rest of them were cleaning the kitchen and deciding on what to prepare for lunch.
"Why don't we head to the pizzeria? I loved their spaghetti and meatballs."
"You mean you loved my spaghetti and meatballs that I ordered."
Rosalie tilted her head to the side with a cheeky smile.
"What she said."
She pointed to her wife.
"There's eleven of us. We'll take over that entire, little pizzeria."
Kaitlyn said, as she leaned back on the stool. Her back was aching and she was in need of a massage. But she hadn't noticed any massage parlors anywhere in town.
"The more the merrier, they say."
Michelle had just gotten off of a call with her boss. Apparently, she needed her back sooner than initially discussed. She didn't know how to tell her mother and sister that she'd have to leave before the New Year.
"That's for people pleasers to say, honey."
Elizabeth had been glued to her phone for the past ten minutes, sending and receiving messages from Isabelle. Rosalie took a peek at the phone screen, but didn't get a chance to see a word before she was tackled to the floor by Andrew.
"Beth, help!"
Rosalie squealed, as he began to tickle her sides with his little fingers.
"Tickle monster, Rosie."
He giggled, as Margaret pulled him off. He jumped out of his mother's arms and ran over to Michelle.
"No tickles for me, buddy," Michelle ran behind her mother for protection, "mom, help me."
Barbara laughed and grabbed his hands in hers. He pouted and sniffled.
"No tickle monster, granny?"
His voice was so sweet that everyone's heart melted. Rosalie placed her hand against her chest. She hoped that Abbi would still be as playful as Andrew when she became his age.
"No, but why don't we go play in the snow with Abbi?" His eyes lit up, "go grab your winter coat."
He rushed to the closet and Margaret rushed to help him. Elizabeth eyes were still stuck on the phone's screen and Rosalie nudged her shoulder.
"Babe, everything okay?"
Elizabeth nodded, but her focus was elsewhere. Rosalie sighed and placed a kiss on her wife's forehead, before heading for her own winter jacket.
Kaitlyn decided to give Elizabeth some space as well, and ushered everyone else to the closet and out the door.
Abbi was in the snow making a snow angel, and Henry was throwing snowballs at his girlfriend.
Rosalie ran out and spread her arms, as she jumped into the snow next to Abbi, landing on her knees. Abbi yelped and jumped up.
"Mommy, make a snow fort with me."
Abbi pulled her mother toward a heap of snow and began shaping it.
For the rest of the morning, there was a competitive snow fight. Henry, Abbi, and Rosalie fought against Yasmin, Zoe, and Andrew. And the rest of them sat on the porch and watched the scene in front of them unfold.
When they headed inside, Elizabeth was in the kitchen drinking a glass of wine.
"Babe, I missed you."
Rosalie poured herself a glass, since Abbi was with everyone else playing a board game.
"Sorry," Elizabeth sipped her wine, "Isabelle really wants to buy my shares. But the price she's offering," she scoffed, "just because my wife's a millionaire doesn't mean I'll sell my shares for next to nothing."
"She said that?"
Elizabeth chugged down the rest of her wine and poured herself another glass.
"Basically, yes. Half a million dollars? Who does she think she is? That can't even buy a friggin' house these days."
Rosalie settled on a stool and pursed her lips. Elizabeth chugged another glass and rubbed her temples.
"Finding it hard to let go?"
Elizabeth poured yet another glass, emptying the bottle. Rosalie became worried. Maybe it was time for grape juice instead.
"Finding it hard to sell and gain nothing."
Rosalie reached for her wife's arm and directed her to turn. Elizabeth walked into Rosalie's arms and let out a deep breath. Resting her cheek against Rosalie's shoulder, she snaked her arms around her back.
"You're an amazing architect, Elizabeth. And you'll make so much more money now that you've decided to let me invest in you. Isabelle would be begging for you to hire her when you make it bigger than ever."
"You really think so?"
Rosalie giggled and inhaled her wife's scent.
"I know so. Now, I'm starving. Let's get the others and head out for that pizza and pasta?"
"Yeah, I guess I could eat."
Elizabeth reached for Rosalie's wine glass but Rosalie pulled her away.
