"BABE, THERE'S SOMETHING that I need to tell you," Rosalie bit down on her bottom lip. She wasn't accustomed to lying to her wife, and the secret had been eating away at her, "you'll probably kill me."
"I love you too much to harm you in any way. What did you do, my love?"
Elizabeth wrapped her arms around Rosalie's neck and took a deep breath.
"That spreadsheet I gave you is fake."
Rosalie grinded her teeth.
"The spreadsheet that listed the prices for the buildings?"
Elizabeth narrowed her eyes, becoming angry that Rosalie had lied.
"Yes? We still got really good prices for them and will still make a profit. I just wanted to give you that extra push."
Rosalie flinched when Elizabeth dug her nails into her shoulder blade.
"How much are they really, Rosalie?"
Elizabeth leaned closer, her breath fanning Rosalie's lips.
"Everything is double what I told you."
Elizabeth scoffed.
"I knew that those places couldn't be so cheap. You're buying half of what you intentionally wanted. Not one and a half blocks. At most, one frickin' block of places okay?"
Rosalie nodded, gulping.
"I'm sorry. I just-"
"Hush, get down on your knees," Rosalie opened her mouth to say something, but Elizabeth stopped her with the palm of her hand, "and close your eyes," Elizabeth watched her wife do as asked of her. She took off her jeans and grabbed a toy that she'd hidden, "now, take off your clothes and get on the bed. Keep your eyes shut."
"The door's locked?"
Elizabeth had almost forgotten. She got up and secured the lock, before getting onto the bed and spreading her legs. She directed Rosalie to hovel over her body, and when Rosalie finally opened her eyes, her wife's lips met hers immediately.
"Lie to me again, and you'll be sleeping with the bear on the floor."
Rosalie moaned, as Elizabeth's hand gripped the back of her head. When she felt something rubbing against her slit, her eyes tightened and she gripped Elizabeth's shoulders.
"Is that the vibrator?"
Rosalie whispered, as Elizabeth placed a love bite on the side of her neck.
"It's something else."
As it slid into Rosalie, it slid into Elizabeth as well. They both moaned, as their mounds pressed together.
"Baby, what is it?"
Elizabeth pulled on Rosalie's hair and her lips moved onto a nipple.
"A double dildo. As I fuck you, you fuck me too," Rosalie shuddered and gasped, "are you enjoying it?"
Elizabeth caressed Rosalie's cheek and looked into her eyes.
"I think this one will be my favorite," Rosalie's jaw tightened and Elizabeth moved faster, "god, I love you."
"I'm not god, but I love you too. Now, fuck me harder," Elizabeth demanded, "faster, my love."
"Oh my-" Rosalie pulled Elizabeth into a kiss, snaking her tongue into her mouth hungrily, "touch me with your fingers."
Elizabeth moved her hands over Rosalie's sides and onto her round ass. As her fingers slipped down, Rosalie felt Elizabeth guiding the toy deeper into them both.
"Is that better? Do you like how it feels inside of you?" Why is she asking so many questions?
Hearing a knock on the door, their eyes widened. Rosalie rolled off of her wife, the toy popping out of her.
"Mommy! Open the door!"
Abbi screamed, making them rush to put on their clothes. They hurried into the bathroom to watch their hands immediately. Elizabeth threw the toy into her handbag because of the rush, and when she opened the door, her little girl stood in front of her with tears in her eyes.
"What's wrong, sweetie?"
Elizabeth dropped to the floor, pulling her daughter into her arms.
"I did something bad."
Abbi sniffled, as Rosalie walked over, with the most concerned look on her face.
"What did you do?" Elizabeth lifted Abbi up and wiped the tears from her eyes. Rosalie took her daughter's hand in hers with a comforting smile, "don't worry, you won't be in trouble."
"I broke my Iphone."
She pointed to the phone that was rested on the couch. Kaitlyn came out of the kitchen along with Charlotte, wondering what was the matter.
"You did?"
Rosalie placed a kiss on Abbi's forehead and headed over to grab the phone. Trying to turn it on, it seemed as though the battery had died.
"Is it broken?"
Elizabeth asked and Rosalie shrugged. Grabbing a charger from their room, she plugged the phone in and watched the battery icon pop up.
"The battery's just dead, sweetie."
Abbi's eyes lit up and she lifted her face from being buried in the crook of Elizabeth's neck.
"Heard that? Are you okay now?"
Elizabeth carried Abbi into the kitchen for some juice, while Rosalie changed the bedsheets.
"Mama, we're you having sex?" Charlotte almost coughed out her coffee, "huh?"
Elizabeth placed Abbi down on the kitchen counter, not knowing how to answer that question without lying to her daughter.
"We were just having grown up time. You know how mommy likes to make kissy faces?" Abbi nodded, "well, that's what we were doing." Yeah right. A few more minutes and I would have been devouring her.
"We're you making kissy faces with her-" Abbi didn't want to say the word, so she pointed to it, "it's a bad word."
Elizabeth nearly toppled over on her own two feet. Kaitlyn hid her laughter behind the palm of her hand.
"How do you know about that?" Was the first thing that came to Elizabeth's mind, "Abbi?"
"Jack said that's what lesbians do."
Rosalie entered the kitchen, with the most surprised look on her face. My little girl knows what sex is?
"Jack, huh? From school?" Elizabeth rubbed her temple. Boys always have a dirty mouth, "sweetie, when two people love each other-"
"You already told me, mama," Abbi groaned and crossed her arms over her chest, "I'll only have sex when I'm married, okay?"
She jumped off of the counter, nearly landing on her knees, and headed over to Rosalie.
"Can you tell me what an orgasm is, mommy?" No, no, no, no.
Rosalie took Abbi's hand in hers and they headed into the living room.
"Sweetie, this boy, Jack. Did he tell you all of this on the playground?" Abbi shook her head, "in class?"
"We've been texting." Texting? When did you learn to text?
"This is what happens when you give a five year old a phone, Rosalie," Elizabeth was so upset, "no more talking to this boy. And we are taking away that phone, do you understand me?"
"But what did I do?"
Abbi whined and leaned her head forward with a pout.
"You're talking to boys about bad things. You're grounded, young lady." Beth, you can't ground her when we're on vacation.
"I hate you!"
Abbi screamed and stormed into the room. Elizabeth sighed and looked at her wife.
"What?"
Elizabeth snapped, making Rosalie shrug.
"Maybe don't be so mean? She doesn't know what's right and wrong yet."
"Oh, she doesn't, huh? She knows more than you think," Elizabeth stormed into the room behind Abbi, and when she found her little girl crying, she regretted every word that she'd said, "sweetie, come here," her voice softened. Abbi crawled into her arms, "mama's sorry that she got so upset."
"I'm sorry too, mama. You can take my iPad away too," Abbi buried her face into Elizabeth's cleavage. Elizabeth moved Abbi's face against her chest instead, and kissed the top of her head, "I won't ask anymore questions, I promise."
Elizabeth swallowed. Dammit, I can be such a bad mother sometimes.
"No talking to anyone about sex. If you have any questions, you ask me or your mommy. No one else, okay?"
Rosalie crawled onto the bed with them.
"Has this boy ever touched you, in a way that you didn't like?" Rosalie had to ask, just to be sure. Abbi shook her head, "are you sure, Abbi?"
"Yes, mommy."
"If anyone ever does something that you don't like, you have to tell me, okay?"
Elizabeth rolled out of bed and headed into the kitchen, while Rosalie continued her talk with Abbi. She needed a glass of wine to calm the thumping in her brain.
"You okay, Beth?" Kaitlyn asked her daughter-in-law worriedly, "she's just a kid, you know. A kid with lots of questions, if I might add."
"I just lost my temper. I feel so nauseous now. God, she's growing up too fast."
The holidays had been an emotional one for everyone that year. And even Kaitlyn felt herself becoming nauseous, knowing that Charlotte was heading back to Chicago in two days. Spending such little time together with a beautiful woman, fused something within Kaitlyn-something that she hadn't felt in ages. And she was finding it hard, knowing that soon they'd go back to their regular lives.
"Questions are always good. The more you tell your children, the less need they have to seek answers from others. I'm not saying that I'm the best mother. We both know that Rosalie's made some mistakes along the way," Lee, for example, "but we need to make mistakes, it's part of being human."
"I'm just failing miserably at this whole mother thing," Elizabeth poured herself a glass of wine, "with Henry, it was so easy. He was already an adolescent when I became his mom. But Abbi, Abbi's different."
"She's a girl. You're afraid that you won't always be there to protect her."
Kaitlyn sighed. She'd experienced her own failure as a mother. After that car crash, where she'd lost her son, she'd never felt more useless before. If it wasn't for Rosalie surviving without a medical life sentence, Kaitlyn might have given up hope on the power of God. That's what human always did though-lose faith when God disappointed them.
"That's why she needs a phone, Beth. In case of emergencies just like those too. Oh and I'm packing pepper spray in her backpack, whether the school likes it or not."
Rosalie explained, as she entered the kitchen. Elizabeth walked into Rosalie's arms and sighed. They'd be back in Milan in less than a week, and the stress was killing her. Soon she'd relinquish all power of her firm, and it was a difficult step to take, but the first in a brighter future.
