Natasha's POV
I woke up and the first thing that I do is check my phone its not even 7 am yet I'm glad that I woke up before my alarm so that Y/N doesn't get woken up by it.

I want her to get as much sleep as possible I know the second that she wakes up the hangover headache is going to be the first thing that she gets hit with and it's never a good feeling especially when it's the first time experiencing it.

I quietly get up out of bed and sneak out of her room and headed to my own to get changed since I am still in the clothes I was wearing yesterday.

After I changed into some comfortable clothes I made my way downstairs I really need a coffee right now.

I walked into the kitchen and Steve was sitting at the table reading a newspaper and drinking coffee.

"Morning." He greeted me looking up from his paper.

"Morning," I replied to him as I reached up to grab a mug.

"You sit down I'll make it for you," Steve said walking over to me and taking the mug from my hand.

"No, you don't have to," I said trying to get the mug back from him.

"It's fine, plus you're going to have your hands full today."

I gave him a small smile and walked over to sit at the table.

"She's going to be extremely hungover when she wakes up," Steve says bringing the cup of coffee over sitting down on the chair opposite me.

"I'm hoping for it maybe it will not want her to drink any time in the future," I said taking a sip of the coffee.

Steve didn't say anything he just let out a light chuckle.

"She said something last night and I haven't stopped thinking about it. She called me mom." I blurted out.

"Are you surprised?"

"What do you mean?" I ask him.

"Come on, Nat, she has been your daughter since we rescued her you're the one who has been raising her."

"She's had you and the rest of the team that has raised her too it's not just been me.

"You're the one that she always goes to when she is sick and she wants hugs, or when she's injured it's mostly you that she'll go to for help."

"That doesn't mean anything."

"How about last year when she got broken up with. Everyone tried to get her to talk but the only person that she would speak to about it was you. You're her everything she looks up to you in every way possible."

I was about to open my mouth to say something but we got interrupted by the sound of footsteps and groaning as Y/N walked into the kitchen.

She walked over to the table and held out her hands,

"Can you hold me?" Y/N groaned.

I let out a light laugh, stood up and walked over to her gently pulling her into me.

"Come on, you, let's sit down," I led her to the chair that I was sitting on and she slowly sat down and put her head on the table.

I got some painkillers from the cabinet and a bottle of water from the fridge and placed them on the table in front of Y/N.

"Sit up and take these," I said a bit more demanding than I meant to.

"I am never drinking again," Y/N said then she took the medicine and placed her head back on the table.

"That's my girl." I rubbed her back.

Clint walked into the kitchen and over to us.

"Morning, Y/N," He shouted slamming his hand on the table beside her head and it caused her to moan in pain.

I shot him a look and he has known me well enough to know what that look meant.

"Sorry, kid," He quickly apologised then walked away to pour himself some coffee.

I then went on a placed my hand on Y/N's head and started to massage her scalp to at least attempt to relieve any of the pain.

"Can you both give us a minute," I asked them

Thankfully, without question, they both got up and left as Steve was walked past he smiled at me as if he knew what I was going to say to her.

"Y/N, sweetheart, can you sit up I need to talk to you about something," I said sitting on the chair beside her and started rubbing her back.

"What is it?" She asked warily as she sat up.

Going by the look on her face I can tell that she's probably thinking that I'm going to yell at her or something.

"It's alright, you don't have to worry," I reassured her.

She relaxed ever so slightly but I can tell that she was still
worried.

I honestly don't know where to start but I need to tell her, she needs to know, so she doesn't continue the rest of her life thinking that she never had a mother who loved her.

"Y/N, I..." I began to say

"Sweetheart, you spent so much of your life alone and scared and I need you to know that you're never going to be alone again I'm never going to leave you."

"I know you won't Nat"

"I mean not just as your friend but as your mother. Just because you called me mom last night I don't want you to feel pressured that you have to think of me as your mom or any..."

Y/N leapt up from the chair and into my arms.

"I wanted to call you mom for so long but I've always been scared to in case you didn't want me as your daughter and it would ruin our relationship."

I heard that Y/N was crying. I pulled her away from me then I cupped her face and wiped the tears away.

"it's okay, honey, don't cry, nothing will ever ruin our relationship okay?."

Y/N nodded her head.

"I love you so much, sweetheart,"

"I love you too mama," Y/N says whilst grinning. Her smile instantly makes me smile.

I have been wanting so long for the day that she calls me mama and it has been definitely worth it.

"So what do you want to do today," I ask brushing the hair out of Y/N's face.

"I don't know," Y/N says shrugging her shoulder.

"How about this you take a shower then after I can braid your hair and we can watch a movie?"

"Yeah, that sounds good."
---------⧗---------
After Y/N showered and I braided her hair we were both snuggled up in my bed watching The Little Mermaid at a very low volume since Y/N was still suffering from the hangover headache.

We ended up both asleep till late afternoon and by then Y/N's headache was almost gone and she was back to her normal self.

I was so blessed after all those years that I can finally call Y/N my own.
