*A name for Grandmother a child of his age would tend to call her

'*Sobo!' Kai cried from upstairs.

'Yes, sweetheart.' Izo asked.

'Sobo help!' He cried again.

'Kai?' She asked, running upstairs. 'Kai!' She yelled. He was bleeding, bits of glass in his arms and legs. The floor was wet with water and was covered in broken glass and ripped paper. 'Kai darling what happened?' She asked, picking him up and getting him away from the shards.

'I was just trying to take a sip of water, I picked it up, and both the cup and my book exploded.' He explained, tears staining his face as he gripped onto his Grandmother's suit.

'Oh, oh sweetheart your quirk manifested.' She explained, brushing his hair away from his face and setting him down on the couch in his room. 'Give me a moment I'll go get a first aid kit.'

'Mhm.'

Kai woke up, he slept sure, but he did not rest. He woke up tired, nauseous, and with a headache. He hadn't drank at all but he felt like he was in a hangover. He wondered if it was from the noise last night.

He sat up and held his head, wondering if maybe he should tell Fatgum. No, he'd look weak.

'Damnit... Stop that Kai, Hari would kill you.' He growled to himself. Hari told him to stop acting like he was a burden just because he was asking for help.

He got out of bed and put on a new but more importantly clean outfit.

He slowly walked towards Toyomitsu's room, still nervous about asking for help. He was about to knock on the door before Toyo opened the door himself. He did a lot of binge eating last night so he put on some pounds. 'Oh, hey Kai. I was just about to go to work. Did you need something?'

'Wait, work? What about the collar?'

'Well, I was planning on getting someone to come and watch you. I wasn't going to wake you and just have them tell you when you did wake up. Anyway, is anything wrong?'

'I... It doesn't matter.' He looked away and started walking back to his room, but Toyo stopped him.

'Kai, is something wrong?'

'I have a headache... But it's fine I-'

'I'll go get you some medicine.' He smiled and led him to the bathroom.

'Why is he so caring?' Kai thought, 'I'm a villain. I've done so many terrible things. He...' His eyes widened as he realized, 'He reminds me of Pops.' That's why he's so comfortable around him. He's so much like Pops. He cares, he tries to help, he's been kind to him despite whatever he had done in the past.

A hero had never been this kind to him, not since Phantom Arrow and Cipher five years ago.

Kai leaned against the doorframe while Toyomitsu looked through the cabinet. 'Does Rizatriptan work?'

'Sure.' He muttered slowly.

'Are you alright?' He asked.

'I'm fine,' He took the pill from Fatgum, breaking out ever so slightly when their hands touched, and swallowed it.

'You could've gotten a drink.'

'I've taken enough pills in my life swallowing them is easy.' Kai sighed. 'Thank you Fatgum.'

He nodded and stood back up. 'Feel free to tell Rock Lock-'

'Who?' Kai asked, confused. He knew there was someone with a quirk that allowed them to lock things in place, but was that Rock Lock?

'Rock Lock was part of the raid. And he was the one who grabbed your arm when we saw you, y'know, bleeding out.'

'Oh, my bad, continue.'

'Well, feel free to tell Rock Lock if you need anything. I'll be leaving when he gets here.'
