Phantom Arrow

'Shut up!' Takahashi yelled. 'Shut up you pathetic excuse of a human!'

'What happens when you lose control of Overhaul?' Terugo said, ignoring Phantom Arrow 'What do you think would happen? You'd kill him!'

Kai's eyes widened, 'No. I don't... Want that!' He cried.

'Then come back to me.' He held his hand out, offering it to Kai. 'It's the only way to keep Eri, Phantom Arrow, and Midoryia. And of course, we can't forget about Togata.'

Kai stood back up, his legs hurt, they were bleeding again but with the bandages, no one would be able to tell. He slowly started walking over to Terugo.

'No. Kai don't.' Phantom Arrow whispered. 'Kai.' Phantom Arrows' thoughts went to what Deku says to Kai when talking about Eri. 'Terugo can't be right. Because...' Despite his injuries and lack of mobility in his right arm thanks to Poltergeist serving the nerves, he stood up. 'If I can't save one child in front of me. How can I become a hero who saves everyone?!'

'Puppy~ Listen to me. You'll only hurt them. You kill everyone you get close to.'

'It's your fault Phantom Arrow lost his arm. It's your fault Eri was tortured like that. It's all your fault.'

'No... You're wrong, you're wrong.' Kai whimpered silently. 'No.'

'Kai! What's going on? How can we help?' Deku asked, turning to Hari.

'The best we can do is try to drown out whatever he's saying to him.' Hari said, rubbing Kai's back. Eri hugged around his neck.

'Papa...' She mumbled. 'Please... Please be okay.'

Kai was covering his ears, gripping his hair so tightly his knuckles were turning white. 'No. No shut up.'

Hari kissed his neck, whispering sweet nothings in his ear. Trying to keep him calm. He's said himself that the more he panics the louder his Father's voice is.

'You are MINE. You BELONG to me. These heroes don't know how to use you. Your quirk is MINE to use. I MADE you.'

'No!' Kai yelled. 'No, please!'

'Kai, what is he saying.' Hari said.

'Who are you guys talking about?' Mirio asked.

'His Father. Kai's father is speaking to him telepathically.' A new voice said.

Kai looked over, because it may be new to everyone else, but oh, so so familiar to him. 'Ph-Phantom Arrow...'

'Hey, kid.' He smiled. He was a tall man, 6'2, maybe 6'3. Dark green hair, gray eyes, he was surprisingly pale considering the time he spent outside. But the most distinguishing feature about him was his right arm. Or lack of one that is. Well, he had one, it was just made of metal. 'Nice to see ya again. Why don't you tell us what Terugo is saying to you?'

'He's telling me that I belong to him...' He muttered.

'Wait... But how did you get here?' Hari asked.

'Oh, Fatgum rang me up. Our agencies are close together. So we know each other. He found out I helped to save Kai and called me over. It was supposed to be a reward for good behavior, but now I'm here to help Kai out.' He pats his head and ruffles his hair. 'Hey, just remember that you're away from him. Kai you'll never have to go back there again and I'm never going to let him touch you.'

Kai's heartbeat slowed, relaxing for once. The only other time he remembered feeling like this was when Pops used his quirk on him. Pops could calm other people's emotions by touching them.

The comforting words from Takahashi, Hari, Eri, everyone. The words of his father were beginning to drown out. He held Eri close to him, remembering and regretting.

'It'll be okay Chisaki. You're okay.' Phantom Arrow said. 'We're all here for you.'
