A few minutes later Kai was able to fall asleep, he didn't even need to gas him. And as promised, Poltergeist, he occasionally needed to comfort the teenager, but once he fell asleep he got up and left the room. ‘Eh-’

Manticore was there, smirking. ‘So, why were you in Chisaki’s room so long?’

Poltergeist’s white cheeks turned a shade of gray. His circulatory system did still work after all, but since the tar in the said system instead of blood was black his face flushed more of a gray rather than red.

‘Sh-Shut up!’

Mirio shrugged, 'Tamaki and I just had some questions.'

Kai sighed, and took off his helmet, he rode his motorcycle here so he needed it. 'Alright then, but if it's too personal I'm not gonna answer.'

'Alright, reasonable enough.'

Tamaki was the first to ask something, 'Would you be willing to play Shogi with me?'

'Sure but I'll warn you I'm pretty good.' He said, sitting down on the white couch with silk black pillows. 'Nice place.'

'Thanks.' Mirio smiled. 'Why did you yell at me for calling you Chisaki?'

'Eh, wanted to keep up the illusion I suppose.'

'How long did you live with your Father?' Tamaki asked slowly, they had been told the story of Kai's being saved as well a few days after Kai and Hari got married.

'12 years.' Mirio asked if Kai had any people that he liked in Satana.

'Poltergeist was nice enough, never learned his name. Hippogriff and Manticore were like mothers to me, and I guess Hades wasn't all that bad.' Kai muttered.

'Did you have any friends?'

'Kurono.'

'Aside from Kurono.'

'No.'

'Well, how did you find the Hassaikai?' Togata asked.

'I didn't, they found me.'

'Who found you?' Tamaki set a drink down next to Kai.

'Thank you, and the boss before me. He took me in, gave me a room, a bath, some clean clothes, washed the ones I was wearing, and yada yada yada.'

'Okay, how long have you and Hari been dating?'

Kai paused, 'Hold up gimme a sec.' He started counting on his fingers, he wasn't the best at mental math. '11 years.'

'Why did you try so hard in the fight if you wanted us to save Eri?' Tamaki whispered. He was nervous about asking but needed to get it out.

Kai took in a breath, messing with the soft fluff of his jacket. 'Well... Not everyone in my father's Clan was arrested. Some got away. Most were spies calling me and texting me pretty much everything going on in Japan no matter how many times I changed my Number. But some were made to keep an eye on. That's why I'd pray to the Goddess Tara before changing clothes and especially before showering. I never knew who was watching me or from where.'

'So you fought so hard so that your father's followers would think this is what you wanted, you wanted to kill us and crap?'

'Basically.'
