Pain

'Father!' Kai yelled, scratching at his neck, 'Father please!' His voice was high-pitched and more of a screech than a scream.

'I'm getting tired of you disobeying me Puppy.' Terugo smiled. It was gentle but terrifying. Kai knew by now that gentle meant angry.

His voice was weak, barely above a whisper as he fell to his knees, his left hand still on the wall he had been using to stabilize himself. 'F-Father... Please... I'm sorry.' He panted, he felt like all the moisture was being sucked from his body as his tears fell to the floor. He noticed the sparks on them, slightly burning the Tatami mats under him.

'Father..'

Fatgum handed the bracelet to Rock Lock and waved goodbye.

'So.' Rock Lock muttered. 'My name is Ken Takagi.'

'I'd still prefer Overhaul, but call me Chisaki if you want.' Kai responded.

'Alright. Well, I brought my Kid, sorry if he's annoying but I couldn't just leave him alone and the babysitter was booked.' He said, looking behind him at the miniature version of him.

He walked to the kitchen for a drink and the kid walked to him. 'Hi.'

'Yes, can I help you?' Kai asked.

'I'm Niki.'

'Niki hm? I'm Chisaki.'

'Daddy told me about you. He says you're a sick bastard with no remorse for your harmful actions.' Niki said.

Kai was a bit taken aback, 'Ri-Right then. Okay, maybe you don't repeat the things your Father says okay?'

'Okay.'

'What are you saying about my kid?'

'I didn't say sh-' He stopped himself and sighed, 'I didn't say anything about your kid. I was talking about you. I was telling him not to repeat everything you say, Rock Lock. Even if it is mostly true.'

Ken nodded and sat down on the opposite couch to Kai.

'Daddy, why is this man so sick?' Niki asked. 'He seems healthy to me.'

'Not that kind of sick Niki. He's mentally unstable.'

Kai sighed. He'd very much like to get out of the awkward silence. So he just got up and started to leave. But just as he got to the stairs a shock went through his body, Rock Lock covered Niki's ears to try and block out the sound of Kai's screaming. He fell to the ground as he yelled for it to stop, he was crying and couldn't move. His tears made it worse for every part of the body they touched. So his face and his neck. 'Rock Lock!' He screamed.

Niki was crying and confused as Rock Lock walked over to Kai and touched the collar and bracelet together. The shock finally stopped after what seemed like hours when in reality it was a few minutes at most. But even though it was finally over Kai was still in a world of pain. 'What the hell was that?!' He yelled, his voice slightly hoarse.

'That was the collar. I don't trust you as much as Fatgum does, so I lowered your range.' He growled.

'You...' He panted, gripping his throat, looking back at the floor, too scared to face him. 'You couldn't have warned me at least.'

'No, you don't deserve that right.'

'Well look at Niki!' He yelled. 'You could've at least warned your son! So he'd know what was going on!'

'Like you know how to be a parent!'

'Well, obviously you don't either!'

'Why don't we just go for a walk?!' Niki yelled. 'Whenever Mommy gets mad she goes for a walk!'

'Sure.' Ken growled. 'A walk. C'mon Overhaul.'
