Rock Lock growled, 'So just because he got in a few fights, we have to look after him?!'
'Yes, the prisoner is badly injured. But we can't just relocate him. He had been more dangerous than Kai ever would be.' Nezu said.
'Well, where are we going to keep him?'
'Maybe a proper hero's house. Or their agency? Preferably one with involvement.' Bubble Girl suggested.
'I can host him.' Fatgum said. 'I'm probably the best suited to handle his quirk.'
Nighteye nodded, 'Only if you insist.'
Fatgum nodded, 'Don't wanna risk anyone else getting hurt. And besides, I heal the fastest.'
'I don't know...' Pro Hero: Suneater muttered. 'Is this such a good idea?' They graduated a year ago and were all working for the agencies they did work studies with.
'I'm sure Fatgum'll be fine!' Kirishima smiled, 'He's strong!'
Pro Hero: Nejire-Chan stepped in. 'Hey hey! Didn't Kai give Mirio his quirk back? Didn't he? Maybe he's changed!'
Pro Hero: Lemillion permeated his hand through the table. 'He did.'
'He has.' Nighteye said. The moment the interrogation was over he wrote down everything he saw. 'Or at least he will.'
He thought about one specific thing he saw. He was bandaging his arm, but he didn't remember seeing him get hurt. He wanted to know what happened.
~
Kai stared at his arm and growled. He scratched it hard until it bled. He was scratching the mark of Satana. The memory haunted him.
~
'F-Father!' He screamed.
Terugo held a burning hot seal against his only child's arm. Kai was screaming and crying. But he didn't let go until the stamp cooled to a freezing point.
When he moved the stamp there was a pitchfork permanently imprinted on his skin. The fire they used they used was completely quirk-proof. No matter how much Kai tried, he would never be able to get rid of that mark. He had been permanently branded.
~
Kai cringed at the flashback and rubbed the blood around until it completely covered the mark. Took about five minutes and by this point, his arm was starting to feel like a mixture of coldness and numbness. But he couldn't care enough to want to repair it. They had given him normal gloves and a collar that blocks out his quirk instead of gloves. But it had been turned off for now. He could easily repair it, but he didn't want to.
Kai was annoyed, he hated feeling this way. Like bleeding was the only way to let out the pain he felt just looking at the mark.
'K-Kai!' Fatgum yelled.
Kai glared at him, 'Oh goodie. The heroes are here.' He muttered.
Rock Lock ran over and grabbed Kai's arm. 'What happened?'
'Let go of me!' He snapped and yanked his arm away. But Rock Lock didn't let go.
'Not until you tell me who did this.'
'There's no one else in the room!' Kai yelled. 'Who the hell do you think did it?!'
'W-Wait why would you-'
'Because I hate was beneath all the blood.' He growled. 'Now let me go.' Rock Lock let go of him looking at the blood on his hands.
'Kai, what's beneath all the blood?' Fatgum asked.
'It's-'
'It's all of our business. Self Mutilation isn't healthy.' Mirio leaned against the door frame. 'We need to know what is on your arm you hate so much covering it with your blood is the only option.'
'A brand.' He grumbled.
