Golden Eyes, Silver Control

'I made it.'

Pops and Hari look around them. They were currently at the Hachioji Fireworks Festival with Kai. Or at least they were supposed to be. Kai had run off without them noticing. Although it's not surprising, that he slipped away unnoticed I mean.

He was trained by the master of stealth himself Poltergeist. Hari told Pops he was going to go find him and ran off before he could stop him.

'Kai!' He yelled. 'Kai where are you?!' He searched for an hour before Pops caught up to him. Many people stopped Hari and asked if he wanted help before he did though. 'Pops where is he?'

'H-Hari?'

'Kai!' Hari cried relieved, his voice hoarse from yelling. Pops and Hari both ran to him. Hari hugged him, so tight Kai couldn't breathe. He explained he ran off because he was scared of how many people there were, and the sound of the Fireworks. Pops and Hari comforted him for the next ten minutes or two because he couldn't stop blaming himself for ruining their night by running off.

Kai finally smiled after realizing they were more worried about his well-being than the festival. Once they got back to their spots to watch the fireworks again, Kai thought to himself just how lucky he was to have people like this to consider a father and a lover.

'Which fight, father?' Kai raised an eyebrow, curious and agitated. Does he even know how many fights he's been in?

'The fight with Midoryia of course.'

Toyomitsu was confused, Kai and Hari however, froze.

That was their plan. It was always their plan. They would make themselves look like the villain. They would make the heroes come, and then they would lose. They were always meant to lose.

'What do you mean Deku won that fight fair and square.' Toyomitsu said.

'Mmm, did he though?' Terugo altered his voice slightly to sound teasing and slightly higher pitched. For the first time, Fat noticed that Terugo had a slight accent? British maybe?

'He did.' Kai said quickly.

'No, he didn't. You let him win.' Terugo smirked, separating each word of 'You let him win' like they were each their own sentence.

Kai flinched. He didn't want to admit his real plan. Hari squeezed his hand again and kept their bodies close to each other.

'Kai, what is he talking about?' Fatgum asked.

'I...' Kai whispered.

'Tell him~' Terugo teased.

'I let Midoryia win... Because I wanted to go to Prison.' Kai muttered, hiding in Hari's chest.

Toyomitsu was shocked, 'Why. Why would you- And how did you know?!' He turned to Terugo.

'What do you mean?' Terugo giggled. He knew exactly what Toyomitsu meant. He knew what he wanted to know, he just wanted to hear him say it.

'How did you know Kai lost on purpose?!' Toyomitsu yelled. He was losing his cool slightly, confused by Terugo's knowledge, angry at his tone, and annoyed by his behavior.

'I knew whether...' Terugo snapped a couple of times. 'Damn what was his name? Whatever, whether the plain boy had the girl or not Kai should have won that fight with the help of his quirk.'

'And how would you know that?'

'Because I made it.'
