Manticore slid open the Shoji door. On her knees, she slid forward into the room. Kai's room. It was small but full. Kai's room was full of toys, drawing materials, and books. The only reason Kai had touched the boxes was to arrange them neatly in the corner.

Manticore smiled softly, 'You're still trying to solve that huh?'

Kai looked up, scared, but he breathed a sigh of relief when he saw it was just Manticore. He nodded. He had been given a Rubix Cube for his birthday and was having trouble solving it.

'I'll get it someday.' Kai muttered.

Kai was noticeably trembling, Hari squeezed his hand, trying to reassure him.

'The warden said he's been causing her problems since you left Tartarus and has been demanding to speak with you. This was the only way she'd let Hari come with us. I'm sorry Kai.'

'It's-'

'Whos that?' Terugo asked, pointing to Hari.

'I'm his boyfriend.' Hari growled.

'Excuse me?!' Terugo yelled, standing up but again was pushed back down on the chair. 'Hey! Careful! Ugh.' He squeaked. Compared to Kai his voice was extremely high-pitched. 'Kai tell me he's lying.' He hissed with a smile.

Hari got an idea, he grabbed Kai's shirt and pulled him into a kiss. He's only done it once before when they were both drunk, otherwise, he's extremely gentle with him. Kai's been starved for a gentle touch his whole life, so he tried to be soft with him. But now he was furious, he wanted to make Terugo suffer through this 'chat'.

Terugo cringed and gagged at the sight. The moment Hari pulled away he pulled Kai close to him, glaring at Hijimi. Kai was slightly out of breath, he wasn't expecting Hari to do that.

'Kai-'

'No. You shouldn't be here in the first place. You don't have the right to call him Kai.' Hari said to him, he was honestly quite proud of the little display he put on for what would've been his father-in-law if he and Kai got Eri away from them sooner. Thanks to Delphi (One of Terugo's lackeys) they had a feeling Terugo would do something to her. So they tried to find her a home as quickly as possible. But she grew attached to them far too quickly and didn't want a new home.

Terugo started his torture on her as soon as he could, but Eri still believed they loved her since they did explain to her the best they could. She still didn't want a new home since she still loved them, so they had to make her want to leave.

Terugo glared at Hari, livid at him for interrupting. But Hari wasn't intimidated, he was angry too.

'Can we just get this conversation over with?!' Kai suddenly yelled.

'Yes, let's.' Terugo smirked. 'I want to know why you lost that fight on purpose.'
