Rewind

'My head hurts...' Terugo groaned, he was bored and wanted to bother his son.

'Suck it.' Kai hissed back. He only cared what his father was saying if it was negative, or a threat.

'But angel~.'

'No. Absolutely not. Only Hari can call me Angel.'

Terugo rolled his eyes, 'I thought you grew out of that Gay phase.'

'You mean the phase that's been going on for ten years now?' He muttered. He was in his room presently, sharpening his Katana. His room was traditional as hell.

Katanas displayed on the wall, along with Tatami Mats, and Wallpaper.  The first time Pops saw his room he was very surprised.

'It's so traditional!' He had said. Kai didn't mind the traditional aspect of it. It's what he grew up with. And besides, Tatami is more comfortable than hardwood.

'Y'know for... Family bonding? I guess?' He asked.

Kai looked to Hari, 'As long as Hari goes with you.' Kai stood up and grabbed his now empty plate. Come to think of it, it's the first time Chronos has ever seen Kai eat. In the nine years he knew the child, he hadn't seen him eat once. 'I have work today.'

'Alright, well I'm free. So I'm down. Where were you thinking?' Hari asked.

'Maybe just... Maybe a Cafe?'

'Eri?' Hari asked, ruffling her hair.

'Okay!' She smiled. She trusted Kurono and if he was okay with going with him then why not?

'Alright, I know a good one near here. You down?'

'Sure.' Sagaki smiled.

Eri kept staring at her uncle's broken horn. Then she wondered, 'If I were to rewind you to a point you had your horn how old would you be?'

'25, why?'

'How older are you now?'

Chronos sighed and touched his horn, feeling the cracks and breaks, the center being flakey and part of it still shattering off easily. He recalled the pain of his Master tearing it off, the sight of him throwing it aside like his power was worth nothing. Worthless he had said before the final crack. He remembered screaming so loud that even Endeavor felt sorry for him.

'Mr. Chronos?' Eri asked.

'30 Eri... It's been five years, I'm 30.'

'Can you still use rewind?' Hari asked.

'Not very well. I can only rewind up to five minutes, and I can only use it once a day.' He put his left hand over top of his right, still touching his horn.

Eri felt bad for him, she wanted to help. 'Would you be okay being 25 again?'

'Not really...' He muttered. He had too many memories, being back to that age would only bring them closer to the surface of his mind.

'How precise can Rewind get?'

'Very, you can rewind the smallest part of the body if you'd like.' He put his hands on his lap. 'But it requires careful concentration.'

'Papi, can you pull over in that parking lot there?'

Hari looked at the parking lot Eri pointed to. 'I guess.'

He pulled in but before he could even ask why she wanted to pull over she hopped out of the car and opened the door to Chronos' side. 'C'mon.'

'Eri? What are you-'

'C'mon!'

'Okay.' Chronis unbuckled his seat belt quickly and got out of the car. Getting on one knee he asked Eri what was up.

She put her hands on Chronos' broken horn. 'Are you okay with this? I've been practicing a lot.'

'What?' Chronos asked. Taken aback by her suddenness.

'I want to help.' She said, 'But I want your consent first.'

Chronos sighed, 'Only if you want to.'

Eri nodded and closed her eyes, Hari made sure to keep close to her in case she lost control. But Kai - Having so much trouble controlling his own quirk sometimes - helped her a lot on that aspect. Her quirk flowed through her arms and into her hands. She could feel his body rewinding and focused even more to get just his horn.

Rewind did its work quickly and within a few minutes, Chronos' horn was back to how it had been five years ago. He had de-aged a few months but it was hardly noticeable. Tears welled as he hugged his niece, 'Thank you Eri. Thank you.'
