Golden Eyes, Silver Control

Nai-San

Kai walked into his room and started looking around. 'Nighteye? Nighteye?!'

'Mew.'

Kai's relief was like a tidal wave. On top of his closet was his black cat. 'Thank god,' He grabbed her and then set her back down. 'How did you get up there Nighteye?'

'Mew.'

Kai petted her, his worries washing away. Nighteye always had that effect on him. 'Please stay with my Nighteye...'

'Kai! Eri! Kurono! Come down here and help me!' Amira yelled.

Eri was wearing a dress, and Hari didn't mind going down shirtless, but Kai had to get changed. Not only did he feel filthy, but he also didn't want to go downstairs without a shirt. The hive thing has gotten much better, with the touch therapy he's recently been getting from Hari, but his Germaphobia is still pretty rampant.

'Kai! Hurry up!' Amira yelled again.

'I'm coming I'm coming!' Kai put the black short-sleeved shirt over his head and ran back down.

Fatgum was holding the Kitten Kai and Nikk had played with. 'I found it wandering.'

'I thought we got it to a shelter?'

'Can we keep it?'

'We should not be keeping a cat, Kai c'mon help me out here.' Amira begged, as much as she wanted to keep the cat, partly because this kitten was adorable, and partly because it would make Niki happy. She didn't want to take up more space Toyomitsu has already graciously provided for Five other people six including himself. 'At least you have to agree!'

Kai smiled apologetically at her, 'So... Does he have a name yet?'

'Kai!'

'I'm sorry Amira but I like cats.' He chuckled, walking to Fatgum and scratching behind the kitten's ear. 'Now really do we have a name for this thing yet?'

'Nai-San!' Eri smiled, 'Papi came up with it!'

Kai smiled, turning to face his husband. It was an inside joke between them. Nai came from the word Naitoai. Which meant Nighteye, after Kai's first cat. He knew exactly why he named her Nighteye too.

He had been watching the News while holding her, and Nighteye appeared as a new hero. Kai noticed their eyes were similar, one eye gold, and the other purple. No one, not even Poltergeist, had the heart to tell him Nighteye's other eye isn't always purple.

It was a very embarrassing conversation when he found that out, no lie, EIGHT YEARS LATER.

'Yeah, Nai-San is a good name.'

'So you're on board with this?' Amira asked.

Fatgum handed her the cat, 'Ami let's just keep the Kitten. Eri and Niki have already become attached, Hari's given it a name, I don't mind, heck even Kai is on board.'

Amira sighed, 'So long as you're okay with it.'

'I am.'

Kai took a few steps back while Amira petted the cat. 'Nai-San, really? You just had to make fun of me like that one last time didn't ya?'

'I was planning on telling Nighteye but I decided against it.'

'Get lost.'
