*At this point, they didn't have Chronos (He was eight)

'Worthless!' Kai was thrown to the floor. Blood and saliva fell from his mouth. 'What are you good for?! Is there anything you can do right?!'

Kai screamed, the shock collar and bracelets were going to kill him if they didn't shut off. 'Help! Help help help!'

Terugo rolled his eyes, 'Weak excuse of a child. This isn't what I made you for, you cursed human.'

Cursed... Father's favorite word. He was cursed.

~

The bleeding on his arms brought back unwanted memories. But also, it made him wonder what else on his body wouldn't happen, or wouldn't be there if Terugo never entered into his life.

Technically, anyone could be his father. His mother already had picked out his name, she figured out how to raise him, and she even predetermined what school he would attend. And she knew Pops because of her mother, so eventually, Kai would've met Eri either way.

Well... He probably wouldn't have so many mutations. He cringed as his head started hurting again.

*Kai flinched and bit his tongue, causing it to bleed. Hades sliced into him, cutting skin flaps back and injecting a bright blue liquid into his arms. Hades folded the flap back before stitching his skin back into itself.

He then had to stitch his lip to repair it. Kai had been biting it so much, that beads of blood had started forming.

He held his head. He had decided to get something for lunch before heading home since Fatgum was out doing hero stuff, Amira was getting a job, and Hari was taking care of Eri and Niki. 'No... No...'

'No... Please, please just stop.' Kai begged. He didn't want this. He wanted them to stop. He wanted them to leave. Nana Shimura however, refused to give up. She wanted to go back home to her Son. But she wasn't doing that until this child was saved.

Kai didn't want this. He wanted everyone to be safe. He wanted them to live. Why wouldn't they leave? Why are they trying so hard? He looked up just in time to see Poltergeist using his quirk. He screamed, not from pain, but out of fear.

Poltergeist had hardened the shadows in the form of a smooth spike. It pierced through her like she was *wool. Blood came from her mouth as she choked and suffocated on it.

She was dead. Because of him. It's all his fault. It's always his fault.

'No. Stop, no please stop.' He couldn't take this. He wanted it to end. He was hyperventilating as his instincts kicked in. He wanted to hide, he needed to hide. He stood up a little too fast and almost passed out.

Whenever he had panic attacks like this he always wanted to hide. Panic attacks came often or at least they used to, and panic attacks used to only because of his father. And Terugo always made him want to hide, no matter what the context.

An employee asked if he was okay, but Kai brushed them off and just said he needed to use the restroom.

He slammed the stall door and locked it, turning and sliding down the door, holding his head and trying to keep from hurting himself.

'Are you lying to me?'

'N-No father! I'm not I promise!'

Terugo slapped him and forced his head against the wall, 'Don't lie to me!'

'I'm not... I'm not I promise. I'm not. I'm not lying. Please... Please, father.' Kai closed his eyes as salty tears rolled down his cheeks. 'I'm not lying...'
