Well he's back...

Kai laid on his side and covered his ears with the pillow he'd been given, thinking back to those heroes. 'So strange...'

He was told not to mention them, but since his father couldn't read his mind from this far away, and he hadn't heard his footsteps, he felt that he could at least think about it. And besides, he was just thinking about them, he wasn't saying anything out loud. 'My whole life, for as long as I can remember... No one's ever reached out to me like that...' He thought back to the sub-zero temperatures of Sensei's skin and started crying. 'He was so warm...'

Chronos opened his eyes, waking up surprisingly warm considering how cold it was last night, and how cold he knew it'd be today. 'Hm..? Eh- A blanket?' There was a black heavy blanket draped over him, a red hydrangea to his right, and a wallet to his left with a note.

'Knew you'd probably need the cash, ¥50,000, spend it wisely. -Chisaki. P.S. This came from my paycheck so be grateful you bastard.' Chronos snickered, 'I'll have to remember to thank him.'

Izo had to leave, but she made sure to interrogate Kai on every question she had left before going. 'Anyway,' She smiled, 'I'm off to go kill your father, goodbye my dear!'

'Sobo no!'

'Sobo yes!'

Kai sighed and smiled, 'She's not gonna kill him.'

'Why not?' Eri asked.

'My grandmother is somewhat of a pacifist, meaning she believes violence is wrong, but not unjustifiable like a normal pacifist. To be honest, she's kinda odd, but I suppose that runs in the family.'

'Like grandmother, like grandson.' Kurono agreed.

'Shut up.'

'Stop flirting.' Amira teased, 'We get it you're in love.'

'Like you and Fatgum aren't?' Eri asked, picking up on some of Kai's sarcasm.

'Okay well, that's fair.'

Kai rolled his eyes, 'Just try to be quiet all right? And, Amira, go easy on Fat okay? He's a hero he still needs to walk.'

Fatgum immediately walked out of the room while Amira turned red and hid her face.

'What?' Niki asked.

Eri nodded, 'Yeah what do you mean?'

'Don't worry about it, hun.' Hari ruffled her hair and then glared at Kai.

'I regret nothing.'

More knocking.

'Another one?!' Fatgum yelled from the kitchen.

'I'll get it!' Kai yelled back. He got up and opened the door. 'Oh well hello you're back.'

Chronos was standing there, rubbing his neck, and handed him another rose awkwardly. 'Saturo Sagaki.' He grumbled.

Kai put the rose in the vase next to him, 'Is that your name?'

Eri looked up, Kai didn't know his name? To be honest, it made sense. Kai only referred to most people from his past by their villain names.

'Yes. It is. And since my sister didn't change her last name technically the girl's last name is Sagaki too.'

'Well, she's our daughter, meaning her full name is Eri Chisaki-Kurono. We didn't want to take just one of our last names so we went with both. Now, Chronos, would you like breakfast?' Kai offered.
