Phantom Arrow looked at him, 'Kai?'

'That's enough...'

'You kill people Kai, it's all you do, it's your only purpose. Otherwise, you're worthless.'

Kai brought his hands to his chest, 'I'm sorry... Eri, I'm so sorry.'

He didn't want this, he wanted Eri to be safe. He wanted her to have a happy childhood. He wanted her to smile. Why wouldn't they let him stay? It's the only way to keep her safe.

Phantom Arrow recognized his distress, 'Kai, Eri will be fine. We will make sure of it.'

Next on his list after an hour or so of repairing Ketsubutsu, was Shiketsu High. The first time he's going.

Yet again, he drove to Shiketsu and was met with a much warmer reception. By now he was fairly well known, people and heroes were hiring him to repair things. He had to rearrange his schedule at work because he was getting so many requests.

By now he had been doing this for only a week, yet Kai using his quirk was all over TikTok and Youtube. He didn't like it but it made him money to donate to the Trevor Project.

'Chisaki-Senpai!' The principal welcomed him. 'Thank you again for doing this, Shiketsu could use the money. We're trying to get bigger dorms for the students so this is going to be a big help.'

Kai smiled and nodded, he was much better at hiding his emotions than others specifically because his father made him mask how he felt.

'Of course, let's do this shall we?'

This was his first time at Shiketsu, and it was nice. The people were friendly, the floor was shining, the lockers were glistening, and the lights made everything seem to glow.

When he was brought to the Training Area, Kai saw students walking around, helping to clean up debris. 'I wanted to make sure you had as much room as possible to use your quirk efficiently.'

Kai was very surprised at this. Not a single area had done this part for him, he always had to do it himself while people watched and filmed. Kai smiled, 'I appreciate that, thank you very much.'

The woman smiled at him and had the students greet him, 'I trust you'll be okay with them, thank you again Chisaki.'

Kai nodded and started helping clear away bigger debris that students were having trouble with.

'Woah! So you're that Overhaul guy! You're much nicer than what people said. Lit, that's so cool!'

'Lit?'

'It's slang for Epic or awesome. I'm Camie, congrats on your marriage.' She smiled. 'Nice ring.'

'Thank you.' Kai looked around, 'Okay everyone! That should be enough! Watch if you want but I'd advise you to stand back!'

The students who'd been helping ran back inside while Kai touched the ground. He felt the breaks in the pavement and activated Overhaul.

The cracks doubled, but not for long, Overhaul completely repaired the ground. He felt a slight sting but ignored it. Until he felt the dripping of course.
