'Hey, where'd Chrono go?' Toga asked. They were at the Tokyo Festival, 'That guy is actually kinda fun when he starts talking some.'

'Well, Kai is scared of Fireworks. To scare him away from festivals his father put him in a sound room that played a mix of fireworks and gunshots, and asked him to guess after each shot or firework what he thought it was. They did that every day until they knew he couldn't tell the difference.' Deidoro explained. 'So Hari stays for festivities and shit but then leaves once the fireworks start so he can comfort Kai.'

'Awe... That's kinda cute.' Twice said, 'DISGUSTING!'

Fatgum came back with a box of Red Velvet Cupcakes. As requested they didn't make a huge deal out of his birthday, but Fatgum also came back with a wrapped box.

'What the hell is that?' Kai asked, opening a can of beer.

'Language!'

'Right, sorry Amira. What the heck is that?'

'Better.' She smiled.

'Something I picked up from Tartarus.' He smiled. He handed the box to Kai, 'Trust me, you'll like it.'

Kai sighed and opened the box. What could he had gotten from- 'Oh my god Fat you angel.'

Toyomitsu smiled, 'Of course.'

'What is it?' Izo took a sip of milk. She may have the biggest sweet tooth in the family but even she thought this frosting was sweet.

'It's our jacket.' He chuckled.

'Wait really?' She got up and looked over his shoulder. 'Oh my god.'

A dark olive green bomber jacket with purple fur was folded neatly in the box. This was made by Chizuku Chisaki. *Taijuu's younger brother. Everything but the color washes out and if it rips it sews itself back together immediately. It was a birthday present for Taijuu and has been in the family for around ten generations. Kai being the tenth, obviously.

He took the black hoodie off and put his jacket back on. It felt nostalgic in a way, and he was glad to have it back.

Eri played with the fur, she had never gotten the chance to touch it before and it was surprisingly soft. 'So fluffy...'

Kai smiled, 'Having fun there?'

'Mhm.'

'Good.'

'Oh right, there was a rose at the door?' Fatgum said, handing it to Kai. 'It was anonymous, so I thought I'd let you know.'

Kai's mind raced across all the people he knew. But he didn't know anyone who liked Roses enough to call them their favorite. Then he remembered something. 'I see. So he's not gonna kill me.'

'Huh?'

'Well, I don't know anyone who likes roses enough to say they're their favorite. But, to represent the beginning of a truce, Chronos will give people a rose. We have to give a Red Hydrangea to complete the truce.'

'Well. I guess we have to find a Red Hydrangea.' Fatgum said.
