Phantom Arrow tried to pull Kai away, but Poltergeist wasn't even trying to grab him. The small graze on Kai from Poltergeist's knife was bleeding ever so slightly.

'Relax *Takahashi. I'm not taking him, not yet anyway.' He wiped the blood off of Kai's arm onto his thumb, he shadowed around 50 meters away back to Terugo, and held his hand out.

Terugo grabbed it and licked the blood off his thumb and smiled back at him. Making Phantom cringe. Kai hid his face and Takahashi's chest, 'He does this every time I bleed.'

'Every time?!'

Kai nodded, he was 17 and had been living with his father for 12 years. 12 years he's had to suffer. 'It's okay Kai.' Takahashi said. 'We will get you out of here.'

'Are you sure?' The Warden asked.

'Yes.' Fatgum replied. 'I want to host Kurono too.'

'May I ask why before I agree or disagree?' She asked.

'The two are actually in a relationship. And Chisaki cares about and loves him a lot. Kai saved Hari's life and knowing this I... I don't feel like I could separate them in good conscience.' Toyomitsu explained.

The Warden, Sia Tenmu, hummed. 'I suppose, but before I let him go, I want you to get approval from Lemillion, and Deku, since they were the closest related to the situation.'

'I see, I'll call them.'

'Kai relax I'm okay.' Hari laughed, amused and flattered by Kai's tendency to worry about him.

Kai sighed, 'I know it's just... You could have died Hari.'

'But I didn't,' He smiled sitting closer to him, 'Thanks by the way.'

Kai leaned on him, Hari was everything to him, he couldn't bear to lose him the way he's lost everyone else. Hari held him close, gently rubbing his back, kissing his forehead now and again. Neither spoke, the air had a tranquil feel to it.

Kai's heartbeat was still rapid from seeing Hari's dying body. He tightened his grip on Hari's prison uniform. Panic spread through his body remembering.

'Hey, it's okay Kai. It's okay.' Hari whispered comforting words in his ear, not wanting to startle him. Kai's always had a problem with noise.

'Hey, you two.' Fatgum said, making Kai flinch from the suddenness. 'Come on, we're going back.'

'Me too?' Hari asked.

'Yeah, got the Warden's permission, and Lemillion's and Deku's.' Fatgum said, 'You look about his size, so you can wear his clothes we've already bought until we can get you your clothes.'

Kai's eyes lit up for the first time in years, hearing that Hari was staying with them was probably the best news he's heard since the defeat of the Hassaikai. Hari gently pets Kai's head, smiling at him. 'C'mon Angel.'

Once they got home Fatgum had Kai give Hari a tour of the place, to which he gladly obliged. Hari was happy to see Kai smiling, generally, he was happy to see Kai.
