Imee Marcos - Manotoc's POV

"Let go, Imee, let go!" I thought to myself.
I can't keep on holding on to things I cannot control, per se, me and Tommy's chaotic marriage — of which is probably better off to end.

Infact, I'm going shopping with Liza today. She's expecting, so we're gonna be shopping a few baby clothes, bottles, and other stuffs.

She'll be here this afternoon, maaga pa din naman - it's still 9 a.m. So, I tried to do stuff around the house. I headed to the garden, and was watering my plants when someone rang the doorbell. I heard the guard open the gate pero I never really heard kung sino.

"Manong, who is it-" tanong ko, hanggang nakita ko si Tommy.

"Si Sir Tommy po, ma'am" he replied, and excused himself out.

"Long time no see. Wala man lang, kumusta ka? Mga anak ko kumusta?" I said, yet he just disregarded me and handed me a folder of paperworks.

"Ayaw ko nang makipag-away. Eto, separation papers. You need to sign them before the week ends," he said.

I took it and stared at him. His eyes stared back, like he would when we get into arguments. Today was different, there was no sight for surrender & hesitation.

"This is really happening huh?" I said, but he just acted like he didn't hear anything and walked away.

Just like he did, I couldn't care less.
I went up my room, just stared at the ceiling.

Until, I stopped 'not caring' — it was not me to not care, classic Imee is to feel everything. Classic Imee was to feel a sudden wave of rage, when she gets disappointed and so, I did.

I saw a picture of us in a frame, and my direct reaction was to slam it to the floor. I cried for hours, but I had to pull myself together kasi may lakad kami ni Liza. I took a bath and dressed up, just in time for the service to drive through our house.

"Manang!" she greeted.
"Liza! Good afternoon!" I greet back.
"Mangi-istorbo ako ngayong hapon hehe" she snickered.

"Hahaha no problem, sana nandito din si Irene. Napakapaborito din kasi niya magshopping ng mga pambata" I replied.

"Edi bale, next time nalang." she replied.
"Next time, eh, ang tatanda na natin, baka yan na ang maging spoiled na bunso sa buong angkan"
I joke.

"Hahahaha jusko wag, ang hirap magpalaki ng lalaki tas maging spoiled! GAH! Parang nagpapaalaki lang din ng isang Bongbong!" she responds.

"Speaking of him, sila Bonget ba?" I ask.
"Susunod na lang daw sila dito, may meeting pa si Bong. Eh ayaw naman sumama sakin nung dalawang lalaki kasi dad lang daw" she replied.

"Hahaha, lugi na naman si mom" I joke.

We continued with our chikahan until we arrived at the mall.

"Dito nalang tayo mag-dinner!" I invite.

"Sige manang. I'll just call Bonget, malapit na rin naman daw sila," she replied.

I then remembered na I bought a pair of Dolce and Gabbana jackets for the boys when I went to the USA.

"Liza, I bought jackets pala for the boys, come on pakita ko sayo," I said as I lead her to the room.

"Manang?" she gently asks from behind.

"Yes?"

"Are you okay? Kanina ka pa eh, atsaka namamaga mata mo.." she curiously asked.

I felt the whole world sink, and I just sat down the bed, stared at her and cried my heart out.

"We're separating, Liza. My family is broken,"
I said. She then hurries her way to the bed to comfort me.

"It all happens for a reason, manang. Maybe soon, it will unveil why" she replied.

I can't believe I'm here, crying my problems away with my pregnant sister in law. And to think, I'm more emotional than a woman with all her hormones up.

"Uhm, baka nandito na sila Bonget. Let's go back down nalang" I said as I wiped my tears up.

"Also, Liza, please don't tell anyone muna ha. I just need more time to absorb it all in," I told Liza.

"Okay manang, always got your back." she replied.

We go down, and just in time, their service pulled up outside. My two nephews, Sandro and Simon, ran inside while Bonget followed.

"Good evening, sa pinakamaganda kong manang!" Bonget greets as he beso me.

"Mom!!" the two boys greet and hug Liza.
"How about your favorite, tita Imee?" I joke.
"Ofkows, one for Tita Eme too." Sandro replied, while Simon ran up to me.

They hug me, then, we just ate dinner afterwards. We talk and stayed at the sala for awhile. Si Simon, kanina pang naghu-hug sakin. Lol batang to.
