Fast Forward

"I, Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos Jr., am officially announcing my independent candidacy for the vice - presidency of the country.." Tito Bonget announced infront of the whole media. We then stood up and clapped our hands as a sign of support.

"Sir! Who'll be your ka-tandem?" media asked as Tito Bonget got off of the podium.

"I'm an independent candidate, but if there'll be a worthy aspirant that would want to run with me, then, why not?" he replied.

"How about the famous mayor of Davao sir, Mayor Duterte? Would you want to run with or against him perhaps?", another asked.

"Oh, si Rody! He's a close family friend, and a loyal ally. We've come waaaay back. If he's willing to run for the presidency, then I'd be honor to have him as my running mate.." Tito Bonget replied.

Tito Bonget and the rest of us, the family, faced various medias asking questions for the next thirty minutes, then we headed to dinner.

"Mom, si Tito Rod?" I ask mom as we sat on the table of a restaurant.

"Oo nga, where's my future bayaw!?" Tita Aimee teased.

"He's busy.." Mom replied.

"Sayang!" Tito Bonget said.

We just ate dinner before going home.

"Don't forget next saturday is the offical opening of the headquarters ah!" Tito Bonget reminded.

"I can't be there Tito.. I'm flying back to America.." I said as I made beso to him.

"Ay, sayang.. Di bale alam kong you'll make up for it naman.." he said and hugged me tight.

"Mag-ingat ka ha.." he uttered. I said my goodbyes to Tita Liza aswell - and Tita Aimee and Tito Cid. Tita Irene and Tito Greggy are currently in California, fixing things up before they go back for the campaign and election period.

When we got home I just took a bath and changed into my pajamas.

"El.." Mommy knocked on my door and entered.

"Yes?"

"Tabi tayo matulog.." she invited. Ay, ano ako substitute ni Rodrigo? Charot!

"Okay! In your room?" I ask.

"Yes!" she said and went out of my room. I quickly followed with a few extra pillows on my right hand and my ipad and phone on the other.

"Mommy!! Open please!" I shouted from the outside, di ko na kaya buksan ang pinto - my hands are full!

She quickly opened the door and took some of the pillows from my arms.

"Bat andaming pillows?!" she laughingly asked as she laid them to the bed.

"Wala lang!" I replied and sat on the bed. Mom was reading a classic while I laid my head on her arms and scrolled through my social media when an article caught my eye. Eto na!

"Davao City Mayor, Rodrigo Duterte's supporters flock Quirino Grandstand to urge him to file a presidential bid."

"Ma! Look oh!" I said as I showed mom the article.

"Good for him.." tipid niyang sagot. I think she's still pissed di siya binisita ni Tito Rod for the weekend.

"Mommy naman, bibisita din naman yung pag di na siya busy.." I said.

"Edi good.." she replied. Josefa niyo nagtatampo!

Tawagan ko nga, I said as I contacted Tito Rod through Viber. Five missed calls after, sinagot niya na. Finally!
