Chapter 8

The Next Day

Imee Marcos' POV

Pinauwi na din kami. Hinatid muna ako ni Bong and Irene sa bahay. Nandun na din sila Borgy, Matt and Mike.

"Ma, are you okay?" Borgy asked.

"What happened last night?" Mike added.

"Wala, it was just a very very terrible headache." I reply.

"Oh okay, hope you feel better." they reply.

"Where's your brother?" I ask, regarding Matt.

"Upstairs sleeping dahil nadapa siya kakatakbo sa house nila Mama Meldy, nasugatanan." Borgy replies. Hay nako, Matthew.

"Oh, boys, when do you think your dad is going home?" I ask.

"I think he arrives at 10 a.m., today." Mike replies.

"Okay! Thank you!" I reply.

I decided to go tell Tommy later, but first I have to prepare my pakulo for the boys, since I'm planning to tell them also.

I first call my assistant, Elena, and asked her if the things I asked for a few days are all ready. Then, I changed clothes, before going down.
I then asked Ana if she could ask Chef Marky to prepare all the food I listed.
And then finally, went out to go to Tommy's office.

I called his office, while I was on my way.

"Hello - good afternoon, Mr. Manotoc's secretary speaking?" bati ng secretary niya.

"Good afternoon." I greet back.

"Maam Imee! Good afternoon po." she replied, must have recognized my voice.

"Will Tommy be at his office today?" I ask.

"Uh - ye.. yes.. po ma'am.." she replied.

"Please tell him, I'm on my way to discuss something important." I ask.

"Uhm - ma'am.. Ma'am Imee.." she nervously attempted to get my attention.

"Sabi po ni Sir Tommy na.. di daw po i-entertain if ikaw??.." she added. Hinayupak na Tommy yan pati sa trabaho dinadala kagagohan niya?

"I'll still be going, thank you.." nagmamatigas kong sagot.

"Ma'am, di po talaga pwede - baka kami yung ma-apektohan.." she reasoned.

"Don't worry, I'll handle this for you po." pagtitiyak ko sa kaniya.

"Thank you, ma'am." sagot niya.

"Thanks aswell, bye." sagot ko at binaba ang telepono.

Matapos ang ilang minuto ay dumating na ako sa opisina, dahil hindi naman masyadong traffic.

"Good afternoon po, ma'am!" the staff in the lobby all greeted.

"Good afternoon!" I greeted back, habang papunta sa mesa ng secretary ni Tommy.

"Nandun?" I ask while pointing the way to his office.

"Yes po, ma'am.." she replied.

"Okay, thank you.." I replied and found my way to Tommy's office.

I took a deep breath, and knocked on the door.

"Come in!" he announced.

Well, pinapasok ako kaya pumasok ako - di niya nga lang alam na ako yung papasok. Pero yung logic, pinapasok ako. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Nakita ko gaano nanglaki mga mata niya pagpasok ko.

"What are you doing here? I told them not to let you in.." he said.

"Baka nakalimutan mo, you once married the one and only, Imee Marcos." pamaldita kong sagot.

"What do you want, Imee?" he asked.

Umupo ako sa upuan na katapat lang ng lamesa niya at kinuha ang kopya ng ultrasound sa bag ko at inabot sa kaniya.

"Congrats, you're now a father of five." I blandly announced.

"And what makes you think that's my child?" he asks.

"Kapal ng mukha mo! Unlike you, I'm actually decent, and do not just sleep around because it fulfills me." I replied, raising my voice.

"I want a DNA test, before I even hold that child." he replied.

I felt really broken, and nasaktan pride ko, so at this point, I was blinded by rage.

"Oh don't worry Tom! I'm not here to ask for child support, I can fend for all of them by myself! Also, don't worry, you won't be able to atleast see this child yourself. I just wanted to give you my thanks for being a top notch donor, now, go fuck yourself!" I said as I walked out of his office.
(Sorry sa pag-mura mga bhie na-carry lang phoe ng slight si author 😭)

"Oh, and also, don't take out your rage on your employees, just shows how desperate you are, dahan dahan might also show your libertine lifestyle." I added as I slammed the door of his office.

I went home silently crying, pero as I saw my children playing outside, and realizing that there would be an additional one, just lit my world up and gave me hope.
