Imee Marcos' POV

We just had lunch before we went to the court about an hour and thirty minutes early.

"I'll just see if maabutan ko pa ba later, mom.. I still have a business deal to do sa QC.." Borgy said as he dropped us off.

"No rush.." I said.

"Bye! Goodluck both of you!" he said before rushing off. No rush nga.

As we arrived at the entrance of the courthouse. Atty. Mabini was waiting for us in the entrance of the building. The media wasn't there since we kept this case lowkey.

"Where were you?" Atty. Mabini asked, as he not-so welcomed us at the entrance of the court building.

"There's still a court case, you can't just loiter around.."

"Keep the sentiments, Atty., pwede bang pumasok muna tayo before may media pang makakakita.." Rodrigo interrupted as he held me and walked  inside of the building.

"Without bodyguards pa talaga?!" dagdag pang sermon ni Atty. Mabini as he walked beside us.

"We arrived safely, haven't we.." sabi ko naman.

"It still isn't safe to loiter around hangga't matapos ang kaso.." he rebutted.

"I was sending my daughter to the airport, and besides matatapos na naman tong kasong toh.." I replied.

"Hay mga matitigas ang ulo talaga kayo!" he said as he covered his face with the palm of his hands.

"Dito tayo.." he said as we entered a room, for us to discuss what to do during the case.

"Lillian's lawyer tried bribing me.." he said as he closed the door.

"What?!"
"Expected.." Rodrigo said as he shook his shoulders.

"That's where we hit them great.." he muttered.

"So how do we do that?" I ask.

"It goes this way.." he said as he started explaining.

Gentle Reminder: I am not a pro nor am I studying the Court of Law. Before writing this chapter, I did a few research, at lumabas na there is no jury trial in the Philippines due to several elements - kaya if true, let us just imagine na we have the same judiciary system as the States, Australia, or UK. Wala akong idea about the court of law talaga kaya tamang fiction lang po tayo dito. Lolz.😋 If may idea kayo you can enlighten me sa comments, gusto ko may kachika. 😭
_____________

By two in the afternoon, everyone was already here, Irene and Greggy's here, Bonget's not here since he was with Matthew in IN. But nonetheless, Liza's here, we could use another great lawyer. Aswell as Aimee.

"Your Honor, today's case is Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte vs Ms. Lillian Cassandra Ozoa." the bailiff said, announcing the case.

"Is the prosecution ready?" the judge asked both parties.

"Yes, Your Honor." Atty. Mabini replied and stood up.

Judge: Is the defense ready?

Defense Attorney: Yes, Your Honor.

The trial started,
"Atty. Mabini, is lacking evidences in various areas of his case.." Atty. Acosta, the defense attorney, said.

"Your honor, I have marked is Exhibit 6." Mabini replied.

"An audio recording of Atty. Acosta, proposing a two million payment to drop the case." he added.

"Your honor, she doesn't have clear evidence that, the said person in the recording is me." Acosta rebutted.
