Imee Marcos' POV

I woke up at 7, I just washed my face before I went to the guest bedroom kung saan natulog si Rodrigo. Pero when I checked, the bed has been set at wala na siya dun.

I quickly went down sa kusina and saw Aimee hanging out with our mga katulong as they cook breakfast.

"Good morning, manang!" she greeted.

"Good morning!" I greet back and hugged her.

"Have you seen Rodrigo?" I ask.

"Ah, si Kuya Rod! Umalis about 30 minutes ago.." she replied.

A few moments later, a trike arrived at our gate, so I peeked and saw Rodrigo going down, so I immediately went out and faced him.

"Saan ka galing? Di ka man lang nagpaalam?" I sermon as I cross my arms.

"Sa palengke, and I'm sorry, ang himbing kasi ng tulog mo.." he said and held my hand.

"Ano sinakyan mo? Dinala mo nalang sana ang sasakyan." I said.

"Nag-commute, di naman mahirap.." he said and shook his shoulders.

"What were you even doing sa palengke? Binalikan mo na yata yung nagtitinda ng isda eh!" I joked.

"Parang sira toh! She's in Pagudpud, sa Batac ako pumunta.." he said and giggled.

"And, I went there to get something for you, surprise sana pero bat ba kasi ang aga mo gumising.." he said as he hugged me with one hand and gave me a bouquet of red roses from the other.

"And eto, you can give to Irene sinamahan ko na, birthday niya naman tomorrow.." he said and handed me a bouquet of white carnations. It has a greeting card,

"Glad you didn't die last year,
Advanced happy birthday, ading!
- Manang Ime.."

"Who wrote the dedications?" I asked and giggled.

"Yung gumawa ng bouquet.." he replied.

"Bakit ano bang sinulat? Di ko nabasa-" he asked as he peeked on the card.

"Hala, siraulo na bata yun.." he said sabay kamot sa ulo.

"Okay lang, it's morbid - I like it." I laughed.

"Thank you!" I added and hugged him.

"Tara, let's wake Eloise up and tell her the news.." I ordered as I lead him back to the house.

"Good morning, my darling!" I greet as I opened the blinds, letting in the soft rays of sunlight into her room, before I laid next to her on the bed.

"Ma, it's too early-" she groaned as she pushed me away.

"Why are you two here? It's 6 a.m.!" she complained and tinakpan mukha niya ng unan.

"Excuse me, miss.. It's already eight na.." I said as I pulled her for a hug.

"It's still six pa kaya- wait, why are you here Tito Rod?!?" she asked as her eyes widened and she opted to sit down.

"Dito ka natulog?" she asked further and gave me a stare.

"Sa guest room yan natulog.." I replied.

"Okay.. bat kayo nandito? Binulabog niyo tulog ko!" she complained.

"I have something to tell you-" I said as I held her hand.

"She said yes!" Rodrigo interrupted as he couldn't contain the excitement of telling his partner in crime. Lol.
