"You know yourself that resigning from public office, would be like putting your political career on a death sentence. Di ka na basta bastang makakabalik."

"I promised myself that I wouldn't run for the 2016 Elections and go live a peaceful life to America with my daughter, but I still did, and look what's happening now, I'm losing every bit of time I have with her," Imee simply said.

"That's a lot of paperwork to sign, and you're leaving in less than a week, how'd you do that, aber?" Bongbong asked.

"You're not vice president for no reason, and besides nandun din si Rodrigo, you'll make it work, right?" she replied.

"Make what work?" Rodrigo who just got out of his daughter's bedroom spoke.

"Did you know? She resigned? It's all over the news," Bongbong uttered to the president.

"At bakit ka ba kontra ng kontra? I don't give a damn! Nothing's stopping me from prioritizing my daughter now." she ends before walking out.

"We'll make do with what's already happening, I'll personally proclaim Michael Keon tomorrow, please inform him, Bong - 8:30 a.m., at the Malacañang," Rodrigo attests before bidding good night.

"Goodnight, ma." he said as he beso Imelda.

"I'm really sorry if both of them is giving you such a hard time," she apologizes - referring to both Imee and Bongbong.

"Still ma, service for country," he said and smiled.

He headed upstairs and checked on the room Eloise was sleeping in, since it was just beside the master's bedroom.

There he saw his mag-ina, Imee was already asleep as well, she was tightly embracing Eloise. He took a blanket from one of the cabinets and covered Imee with it.

"Goodnight ulit, my magandang warrior," he uttered as he embedded another kiss, this time on Eloise's cheek.

"At ikaw," he sighed as he sat on the bed, fixating his eyes on Imee.

"Sa lahat ng nangyayari ngayon, lahat ay malabo, sa totoo lang, hindi ko alam if may natitira pa bang pagmamahal sa 'yong puso na nakalaan sa 'kin, bahala na, pero alamin mo sanang palagi akong mananatili sa iyong gilid, as a colleague, a friend, as someone who loves and cares for you dearly - even if it means proclaiming another person for the job that I know is meant for you." he whispered before heading out.

The next day, Eloise woke up early as she longs to see the lake mirroring the hues of the sunrise. She didn't bother waking up her mother, she deserves a rest.

Francheska Eloise Marcos - Duterte

I woke up from a god awful headache, mommy was peacefully sleeping beside me. I sat down on the couch and peeked through the blinds, it's still dark outside, as mommy would call it, it's still the blue hour. It's my favorite part of the day, peaceful and serene.

The headache got more and more worse to the point that it made me nauseous, I quickly took my cardigan, got out of the room, and headed to the bathroom downstairs.

All of the rooms are here upstairs and I'm quite against the possible occurrence of me puking and causing everyone to wake up.

I washed my face up after and put what's left of my hair into a bun. I wore my cardigan and headed outside, ma-late pa 'ko sa pinaplano kong sunrise watching. Thank God, it's still a few minutes before 5. To enjoy this moment even more, I put on the Mamma Mia soundtrack. I re-watched it recently and it seems like I haven't gotten over it just yet.
