Imee's POV

I just slowly cleaned Eloise with a damp cloth to freshen up - di pa kasi siya pwedeng maligo since she just had surgery.

I then helped her change from her hospital gown to a powder blue flowy dress.

"Good morning ma'am, eto na po yung discharge slip ninyo.." the nurse said.

"Thank you.." pasasalamat ko bago ngumiti.

"Ay! Ma'am.. may pending na balance pa raw po sa business and finance.. 'yong mga gamot ra po from kanina.." pagpapaalala neto.

"Oh sige, bababa na rin ako in a while.." ani ko.

"Thank you po.." sagot niya sabay paglabas ng kwarto, pumasok naman sina Irene.

"Rene, bantayan niyo muna si Eloise please, bababain ko muna yung sa finance.." ani ko sabay kuha ng mga bills.

"Manang, kami na maga-asikaso neto - stressed ka an oh, at tsaka una na kayo ni Eloise, naghihintay na 'yung transpo.." Irene uttered and smiled before she took the paper works off my hand.

"Thank you, my since day one.." I whispered as I hugged her.

"You're always welcome manang.." she said.

"Good morning, ma'am Imee.. Kami po yung magt-transport ni Miss Eloise pababa.. Kasama din po namin yung PT dito.." pakikilala nila.

"Oh, sige.." I said.

"Makakalakad na po ba yung patient?" the physical therapist asked.

"W-we haven't tried pa.." I reply.

"Hi, Ma'am Eloise!" she greet, while Eloise just stared.

"Do you know how to walk?" she asks, Eloise just slowly and carefully said no.

"Oh, so gusto niyo na po ba maka-try na makalakad ulit?" she asks, "Yes, of-of course.." Eloise replied.

"Alright! Try natin maglakad sa kabilang bed, okay? So ganto po, tingnan niyo 'ko.. One step over the other, left, right, leeeeft, right!" she explained while Eloise watched closely.

"Gets?" the physical therapist asked, Eloise just smiled and agreed. They carefully assisted her to stand up and eventually, take her step.

"O-one oveeer.. another... L-left.. R-right.." she mumbled her way through.

"Very good!!" I joyfully exclaimed and showered her in kisses as soon as she was able to reach and climb up the gurney.

The doctor didn't mention any severe problems with her motor skills naman, but this is like watching her walk her first walk again - infact it's better.

"T-thank you.." kusa niyang sabi sa umaalalay sa kaniya.

"You're welcome, Eloise.. Get well ha, our future gobernadora.." they tease.

"Di pa niya alam, pero nagp-pursue yan ng medisina before.." I whisper.

"Oh, very good nga!" they applaud, though unaware, she just continued to smile.

"Thank you.." I thank.

---

After a few minutes, we were transported to the airport to ride the presidential chopper.

"Si presidente?" tanong ko sa mga PSG.

"Nasa Makati na po, may inaasikaso.." they reply.

"Ah.. thank you.." ani ko naman.

We were on a schedule kaya, umalis na din kami right after. Tila naninibago, Eloise was holding my hand tightly.

"Are you okay, El?" I ask and held her with my other hand, "Mhm.." she replies as she fell astonished by the sea of clouds surrounding us.

"Ma..?" she then calls.

"Yes darling?"

"W-what does d-dad mean?" she asks.

Eloise is a wise and genius lady - seeing her so hostile and unaware of the world is undeniably tough.

I move closer to her and rested my head near her.

"Here goes.. Anak, we human beings have what we call, are parents.. They are your constants, for no one loves you more than they do." I said.

"But, take in note, not everyone is lucky enough to have both or even one. And you, my dear, are too blessed to have both. Me, your mom, and the man, Rodrigo, is your dad.." I added, she then gave me a soft smile.

"S-so, I call him dad?" she asks.

"Yes, if your comfortable with it.." I said and smiled. She just fell silent as she stared at the window.

Gosh Lord, this is so damn hard. I miss her extra kakulitan and her pagiging talkative that just wouldn't stop, to the point that it would drive me nuts.

She's gone through so much. Now she'll have to go through physical therapies, a lot of scans, chemotherapy? Who knows.

"I f-feel bad.." she slowly said.

"Kasi?" I ask.

"Kasi, I didn't really talk to him kanina. I'm sorry, I didn't know.." she said in a sad tone.

"He'll understand, anak.." I said as I comforted her with a big hug.

"Pero, he's not here.. Doesn't he love me anymore?" she asked, once again.

"Oh, he's just busy serving and helping the Filipino people, nak.." I said.

"Who? Who are they? And why is he serving them? What's wrong?" she said, slightly concerned.

"Oh, you'll understand soon enough, darling. You know, you used to really love them too. You'd even go with your dad on his trips. Pero for now, not as much muna - you have to get well first." I said.

"Don't you worry, your dad still loves you. And when we get to Makati, he'll be there. I promise.." I said, she just nodded.

"For now, get a loooot of rest, kasi for sure di ka tatantanan ng mga cousins mo when we arrive.." I said and giggled, she just smiled - kahit di niya naman alam who or what I'm talking about half of the time.
