and three steps back.."

Rodrigo Roa Duterte's POV

"Wait for me.." Josefa muttered, as she walked away to get more wine and whiskey with Luke.

A few minutes later, Lillian came up.

"Hi Rod, miss me?" she said and started hugging and kissing me.

"Let me go, Lillian!" I complained and tried to pushed her away.

"Oh come on! What does Imee have that I don't? Hmm?!" she replied and pushed me back to the wall.

"Beauty, class, my admiration-" I replied, but was then cut short as I saw Imee go through the door, I quickly pushed Lillian.

Her eyes widened, and drops of tears began flowing through her cheeks, before she left. I'm sorry darling, it hurts seeing you like that.

"What does Imee have that you don't? My respect!" I raised my voice on Lillian before I tried to chase Imee.

"Imee!!" I call as I wiped my face with a handkerchief. Embroidered on the white handkerchief was IRM. Yes, it was hers.

"What have I done?" I ask myself.

"Please, Imee.." I beg as I catched up, and then held her hand.

"You were enjoying that, weren't you?!" she raised her voice.

"Let me explain, please.." I ask.

"You screwed up, Rodrigo, again!" she replied, as tears continued to flood on her cheeks.

"And, I don't wanna defend you, anymore.."

"I don't wanna bend my morals, again, I don't wanna be against what I believe in, again! Just to let you see that I have always loved you back - because at the end of the day... We will always screw it all up.." she added between her sobs.

"She's drunk!" I excuse.

"But you still let it happen didn't you?.. Pag gusto, may paraan, Rod!!.." she said and shook her head.

"Mahal kita, Josefa. I want you, gusto kita. Gusto ko hanapan ng paraan, kaya please let me.."

"I don't wanna talk, I don't wanna argue, and most certainly, I don't wanna compromise, Rod.." she said, looked me in the eyes, and them walked away.

She went to the bar, stayed there for awhile and then entered the hall, people were dancing and enjoying there, so I let her be. Because, all I want is for her to take all the pain I caused tonight.

Imee's POV

I entered the hall where people were celebrating, I just wanna forget about all that happened. I then approached Luke, who was drinking cognac on the corner.

"Care for a dance?" I ask Luke.

"No, hanapin mo si Rod." he replied.

"Please?" I insisted.

"I'm sad and depressed, all I want is a dance." I added.
