(Y/n) was back to working again. She had papers in her hand as she checked the inventory, marking items off that she needed to get. Looking at the boxes by her feet, she began opening them, restocking the shelves one by one.

(Y/n) was glad she managed to save enough money to get a proper bed, fridge, microwave and stove. All the necessities she needed.

Lately, she had been hearing more about gangs being in the area from passing pedestrians. Word travels fast around here. The (h/c)-ette heard the bell ring, signaling a customer. Looking up, she spotted the same four young men again.

Shinichiro was searching the store for a particular (h/c)-ette girl. His obsidian eyes spotted her in one of the aisles, approaching them. His face brightened up. "Ah, hello there!" He greeted, hands in pockets.

(Y/n) greeted him back, looking at the three young men behind him. "If you need me, I'll be at the cashier." She pointed her thumb to the register, walking away from them.

The four men brought their items to her once they picked up what they wanted. They watched as (Y/n) cashed everything when Shinichiro spoke, "Arigato, (Y/n)-chan!"

"How do you know my name?" (Y/n) asked him, her brows furrowed. Shinichiro gestured to her name tag, making her sigh for her stupidity.

"Since we know your name, it's only fair you know mine. My name is Shinichiro Sano." Shin introduced, he turned to the three men, telling the (h/c)-ette their names too.

The television box hanging above the store caught their eyes as news of another gang fight was reported. Property damages, disturbance of peace.

"I've been hearing a lot about gangs these days." (Y/n) spoke up, catching Shinichiro and his friend's attention. They turned to look at the girl as she continued, "Apparently they're a lot closer in this area or so I heard." She nonchalantly said.

Shinichiro was worried. Worried for (Y/n). He didn't want her to get hurt in brawl between petty gang fights. "Really? What time do you get off work? Are your parents picking you up?" He bombarded her with questions.

Taken aback by the sudden onslaught, (Y/n) answered, "I get off work at two in the afternoon and no, my parents don't pick me up."

"Why?"

"I don't have any." (Y/n) nonchalantly replied, wiping the counter with a cloth as she sprayed a disinfectant. The strong odor reaching her nose.

The four young men were awkwardly silent as they stared at the (h/c)-ette. No parents? Is that why she's working? They couldn't help but think.

"I'm sorry." Shinichiro apologized, looking sad. He looked like a kicked puppy.

(Y/n) sighed, "It doesn't really bother me." She smiled at them, handing the bag to Wakasa, who took it, muttering a 'thanks.' The four of them soon left the store.

All day till two o clock, (Y/n) was working non-stop till the next employee came and took over. Clocking out, she grabbed her bag before leaving the convenience store. The bag of spicy chips in her hand was open as she began snacking on the crispy piece.

(Y/n) was making a turn into a street when her eyes caught sight of a couple boys surrounding another kid, mocking, teasing and physically hurting him. Stuffing her chips in her bag and wiping her fingers on a napkin, she walked over to them, "Hey!"

The group of boys turned to look at the (h/c)-ette with uninterested eyes, "Get outta here, girlie!" One of them insulted, a sneer on his face.

(Y/n) glowered at them, "Leave him alone." She firmly said, not wanting to beat the shit outta a couple kids who were acting like tough guys.
