Do you ever wonder/1

Do you ever wonder

what would Jesus say

when He sees you

acting like this on

the face of His promises.

They'd say that the things

He says and does are in

conflict against the world

because we live for fickleness

instead of His Holiness.

Do you ever wonder

what would Jesus do

when He sees you

giving up like this

while He holds you for better.

They'd say that the matters

He plans and prospers are at

enmity with our existence

because we live for fame

instead of His mercy.

Do you ever wonder

what would Jesus think

when He sees you

sinning like this on

the face of His love.

They'd say that the actions

He performs and deals are in

war with our life's purpose

because we live for wealth

instead of His kindness.

Do you ever wonder

what would Jesus thought

when He sees you

giving in like this

while He makes you stronger.

They'd say that the results

He builds and corrects are at

a grudge against the universe

because we live for pleasure

instead of His example.

A/N: Okay, so... I don't usually write that many poems about my faith or God in central, but lately feel like the Spirit guides me to do it and I know it makes me reflect on what I believe and why I believe it. Following Christ and living your life by His example is much harder than it seems and it has its ups and downs(mostly ups) as we live in this world that sometimes blames or rejects us for our beliefs. Everyone has their own story in this and I'd never make it seem less important but what I do want to say is that respect is all there is to it; respecting your parents, respecting your siblings, respecting your neighbours, respecting the choices they make for their lives, no matter how different or even odd they may seem. One big thing we have to learn in this life is to be kind and understanding, not cruel and unwise. As harsh as it sounds, this is what kills us, not illnesses, not accidents, not even wars. Our actions are what lead to our inner(and physical) death. Think about that before you offend someone for their religious faith.

Oh, and do not forget to enjoy your summer!! It's already July and I always feel like I blink and we're halfway through it. Do something fun, have quality time with your family and go on road trips. Just have the best time and laugh when you cry and vice versa.

With love,

M.
