I had a good day today, not to mention the night and that's why I came up with as many ideas as I just had to write this poem. I hope you enjoy it as much as my boyfriend because he really likes it. Thanks and good reading!

CANDY DOLL OR A BROKEN CHILDHOOD?

The wind played with the girl's hair

She was quiet and small - too delicate to understand

The wind  also played with the girl's fingers

She was quiet and small - too delicate to comprehend

Memories, which all seemed to fit

Wishes were fulfilled in seconds

Words that were never left unsaid

Holes in the dresses, which were mended

It was her nice childhood.

The candy thief, who remained unseen

Drawings, which remained unfinished

Colours that were left untouched

It was her nice childhood.

She never played in the sandbox

She never played volleyball

She never played a snowball fight

The emotions that were hidden

Tears, which no one wiped

The thoughts that were not shared

Ideas, which no one cared for

It was her nice childhood.

Letters, which were not considered

Questions that did not get a response

Blood that does not dry out

Water that does not come into one's mouth

It was her nice childhood.

And yet, she does not come and go

She's not walking or sitting

She can't hear or speak

So... was it a candy doll or her broken childhood?
