Give Away My Love For You

It's hard to find the right words here

That'd give away my love for you;

Every little thing you do builds

So much warmth in me.

Good seems to overdo the bad

I don't overthink your intentions

Or even the character you hold onto

Seeing and touching your full heart.

It's easy to feel valued in your eyes

Since you're known to be extra kind;

Those of us who need a helping hand

Could always come to you.

Celebrating you is not simply a want

You see, the very core of me has a part

Dedicated to you and your needs

Already planning our next dates.

A/N: Okay, so... I don't exactly know what it is about 'falling in love' that is such wonder to some when you should 'fall for yourself' and 'your life' before anything else, or meeting anyone else to reach that high bar. When you do meet someone in the process of it or after it, - if you're lucky enough that is - it's something to appreciate and not take lightly. And it's not easy to let someone in, let them see the part of you you hide away, the ugly with the good and the good with the ugly, but that's the beauty of it, the real wonder of falling in love, staying in love and loving each other to the coming time. Not forever. But for some time, no matter how long it is. I don't know what I'm trying to say here, but I guess I want to explain my thoughts on romance and romantic love. Through this poem, it might seem like I cherish it, but I usually take it as a *getting lucky* part in life, because life is so much more than an ever-lasting romantic love story. That is why I must repeat here: Love yourself first. Live for yourself first and do it well! (:

With love,

M.
