Oh yeah, I think everyone has had that kind of love that hurts more than makes you smile. Mine was one side of love and it still hurts like hell, as the poem's title says to you. I wrote this a long time ago but decided to post it now. I let him go and it's time to let it go with this poem, too. I mean, it can't be so hard, ah?
But I hope you enjoy it!

HURTS LIKE HELL
When you call her "babe"
And say she's prettier than me
It makes me think that I'm not enough for you
So it hurts like hell.
When you touch her in different places
And say she's everything you need
It makes me think that I'm nothing to you
So it hurts like hell.
When you kiss her in front of me
And say she's always in your mind
It makes me think that I'm the second choice you
So it hurts like hell.
But, now, I let you go because there's someone for whom I am pretty, for whom I am enough, for whom I'm first thought and call in the morning, afternoon or even evening and for whom I am everything he needs and loves, not a second best.
