Oh, October, be gentle with me,
Mend my heart in the arms of your
Coldest winds; give me some grace
While I'm feeling all over the place.
Silently sitting in front of my fireplace
On crisp autumn mornings with a cup of
Lukewarm cherry tea to sip and stories to
Write for those who need to escape.
Oh, October, be gentle with me
Hold my soul in the presence of your
Colorful leaves; gift me some beauty
As I keep avoiding my sense of duty.
Laying on foggy lands at any given time
Breathing in the last bits of its glorious bliss
Not quite ready to embrace winter blues
'Cause I still have a few mountains to climb.

A/N: It's no secret that I adore poems about seasons or one season that is. Autumn is my favourite and this is very much about my current state - moving to a new place and finding my footing, whatever that is and becoming healthier and happier of course. That's the goal and we'll see how it goes or where it goes. Hope it gives you inspiration as well - you'll get there no matter what because I believe in you! (:
With love,
M.
