Hybrid 11.4: Jackpot

There is a long silence. Those words are uttered by someone who has no idea how wrong he just talked about someone. Jaebum's face doesn't change expression, but the tension behind him.

A tension that grows with the time passing by. 

Jaebum turns around and he smiles. None of the hybrids fury is visible on their face. However, Jaebum is well aware. He knows that they are angry. 

How?

Eyes are the mirror of the soul. 

"You shouldn't speak like that." the director scolds gently

"He just ruined by possibility to be adopted." the wild cat hybrid points to Jaebum

"Max!" the director widens his eyes and begins sweating even more

Despise the wild cat hybrid's action, Jaebum stops the director. There is no use saying something like this now. He checks the time and it is now 1 pm. Considered as the afternoon, he recognizes his brother and sister coming towards the desk. 

Mark is dressed in a simple white T-shirt with inscriptions and a blue jeans. Elina wears a long flowy dress. It's a beautiful orange dress with small straps. It outlines every curves and her smile blossoms on her face as she sees Jaebum.

"Brother!" she exclaims walking towards him a tad bit faster

The hybrids are all quiet. It doesn't seem like a recurrent occurence as the workers are looking around weirdly. However, as Elina walks into the cafeteria, she stops. Suddenly intimidated by the people around, she grabs the Mark's sleeve.

The wild cat hybrid is stunned into place.

"Where-? Oh!" She exclaims as she sees the hybrids

Her smile widens, but she doesn't part from Mark. Not knowing, if she's allowed to barge in like this. Jackson smiles as he walks forward and they began to whisper. Whispers that are very well heard by all the hybrids around the room. 

"Is it alright for me to just barge in here?" I question Jackson as he steps closer

"Shouldn't you have thought about that before barging in?" Jackson chuckles as I get even more embarassed

"Jackson!" I hush "It's  huge here though..." I look around and I feel eyes on me

It's Taehyung. I know it is him.

"They were in the middle of eating." Mark remarks "Should we go back for now?" he questions Jackson

"I'm finished." Yoongi appears out of nowhere startling Jackson and his two  siblings

"Yoongi" I say softly taking a deep breath in

The panther smiles at the girl and her attention is focused on him now. All the hybrids look at him with jealousy, including his brothers, as  the vanilla scented girl gives out a big soft smile to the panther in front of her.

"Don't startle us like that." Mark sighs as he pats his little sister's head "I have to go now. You'll be fine?" he asks 

I nod. His eyes are full of doubt. After all, it isn't unlike me to get in trouble. 

"Jin watch over her will you?" Mark asks the older one

The polar bear hybrid rises from his seat and slowly walks towards the siblings. He gently pulls the girl to his embrace and she happily puts her arm around him for a second, before twirling around to have her back against his chest. His chin resting on the top of her head, he looks at Mark.
