Hybrid 12.3: School

When I open my eyes, the ceiling is white. Like in my master's apartment. I can barely move, but I see hybrids preys and predators gathered at the feet of a huge TV.

"Hybrids have taken over."

That's the title of the daily journal. I feel my ears twitch.

"Doctor, the doe is awake!" A sheep nurse screams

I look around until a man in white blouse with tiger ears looks at me. I'm completely powerless and I don't understand everything that is going on.

"Do you understand me?" He asks as I focus on him after a few minutes

I nod.

"Do you remember what happened?" He asks gently

"Master..." I whisper looking around in fear "I have to go back" I hurry down the bed but I can barely stand on my own two feet

The sheep nurse barely catches me and puts me back on the bed. I try to push her away, but I'm too weak.

"Hybrids have taken the power." The doctor puts a hand on my shoulder

His pheromones force me to settle down, but I don't understand what's going on.

"You don't have a master anymore. You are your own master." The nurse puts both of her hand on my shoulder "Humans are not a problem and can't control you anymore now."

I look at her in disbelief. Humans are superior. I should never look a human in the eye. I...there are so many rules that I have been taught. Master... It's too surprising. I don't understand.

"School?"

I look at the doctor and nod. It's been 2 years now that the Upbringing happened. The Seven Hybrids who planned and took over the human government. Everything changed, now a year later, everything was possible for hybrids that was possible for humans before. I took a long time to adapt.

"But..." the owl hybrid looks at me with a grimace "Are you sure that you are...that you will be okay?"

I don't think so. I know I won't. I still have difficulties with loud sounds. I can read and write now. Everyone has treated me very gently. Predators or preys. I have also integrated the Buck Family. They aren't welcoming so I spent most of my time in the rehabilitation center. However, I still want to complete that dream of mine.

"I'm ready." I look at her

"I'll make some calls. I'll get you a dorm room too." He sighs agitating his wings "Don't put the Buck leader against me white fawn!" he points to my chest and I nod

I'm the last white doe. None of my relatives are alive. Everyone was killed. I didn't know my parents, but it doesn't hurt any less. I whisper some thank you at the owl who watches me with a half-smile. He always has been on my side. I didn't reveal the abuse I experienced in the Buck family, because it wasn't even half of what I experienced with my...with the human who bought me.

Days later I stand in front of my room and I'm excited. I learned that I would share the small apartment with two other hybrids. I'm excited to make friends because I don't have any. I knock on the door and the door opens brutally. The scent of predators overwhelms me and I falter taking a few steps back.

"Oh, sorry." The guy in front of me apologizes promptly "I didn't do it on purpose."

I blink at him and look at the room number on my key and at the room number on the door. It's really number 13. I'm not wrong.

"You are at the right place." Another male voice resonates and he steps closer

The round small black ears. The long black tail. These are panthers right? I blink slowly at the two members of the Panther family and several scenarios run inside my head. Have I been sold by the Buck Family? Did the owl owner lie to me? Did they give me the wrong key?

"Don't stay outside, I'm Sunghoon and this is Jay. We are your roommates. It's nice to meet you Elina."
