Werewolf 2.2: Black Blood

I fainted. That's the first thing I notice when I wake up in an unknown...wait.

"It is the treatment room. He brought us here." Ame spats. She's angry. At least that was clear. I sit up to find my feet wrapped up in bandages.

'What happened?' I ask her.

"You're awake." I look up to look at Hwasa. She is standing at the door. "You got frost bites on your feet. Your shoes were not adapted to stay in the snow for so long. We'll have to go to the city to buy you better materials." She steps further away "It's 5 am. I'll bring you something to eat."

"Wait, wait-" I put my feet on the floor and hiss. I can't walk. Another shewolf catches me before I hit the ground.

"Careful!" She grits. It's Solar. I had noticed her black hair. Long and beautiful. She almost carries me to sit back on the bed. That's when I notice it, their veins are just...darker. Not blue, but a dark...blue. I don't have enough time to observe more as she pulls the warm blanket over me.

"Stay." She orders as she sees me moving "Seriously, you're such a handful."

I grimace and remain laid down. Ame is quiet. Interested in the shewolves that are moving around us. I sit up slowly as Wheein brings a tray with warm soup. It's still fuming. I observe her, her expression difficult to decipher.

"How are you feeling?" She asks.

"Like a bird in a cage. Like hell." Ame's feelings get past my control and a low growl escapes me.

"Sorry. My wolf is...quite-I mean-I didn't mean to growl at you." I stutter with great difficulty. Wheein doesn't comment as she sets the tray on my laps.

"You don't seem to want to join our pack, unlike your brother?" Moonbyul steps inside the treatment room. She looks pretty, but there is a certain feist in her. I can clearly feel it. She has what it takes to become an Alpha later.

"I heard Black Blood didn't like Omegas." I whisper as I take the spoon "Thank you for the meal."

"It isn't necessarily wrong." Solar looks at me "Omegas are weak and have difficulties to resist the cold weather. Moreover, we already had Omegas who betrayed us and joined Crescent Moon." She adds at the end "That's why our pack mistrusts Omegas."

"I didn't know that." I frown "It's terrible to betray pack." It didn't seem alright to me. I feared being part of Black Blood, but if I eventually became part of that pack, I didn't know if I...My eyes wander around the room as I notice a mirror.

"Why did you think I was that pissed off?"

'It's a joke, right?' I feel like my eyes are playing a trick on me. Instead of the blue moon that adorned my neck, a black drop stands. I set the bowl of soup aside and stand up. Approaching the mirror closer, to trace the irritated mark.

"Did my brother agree to this?" I turn around to look at Solar.

She opens and closes her mouth. "Blake wanted to ask for your consent, but Alpha Park insisted."

"Alpha Park?" I repeat "Who's that?"

"Park Jimin. The guy whose life you saved." Hwasa explains "He-" I scratch at the pack mark so deeply that I can feel Ame battling inside of me. This asshole. This poor excuse of a mate. Forced his pack mark on me. Hands prevent me from scratching myself once again. But the deed is done, angry red marks cover the pack mark.

"Stop it. You're only hurting the one who gave you the mark with that." Moonbyul holds my hand.

"I better scratch it again then." I try pushing her off "Let go."
