Three years later

"CEO Melody Bridge, step forward and accept your award please."

I smile and stand up confidently. I look around the room and notice a few familiar faces, yet I completely ignore them. It's been three years since I quit the Alpha company. I didn't have to pay anything for severing the contract.

With the money I had kept on the side, I opened a consulting company. First, I worked alone finding much easier, but slowly I found people which I could rely on. Competent people. Respectful people. Our company grew exponentially throughout the years and now I had more than 50 people working for me. I had received the prize of New Talent of the Year thanks to them.

"How are you feeling?" Francesca smiles as she embraces me. She had quit the Alpha Company and after doing months long formations, she had joined my company as my secretary. She was as efficient as possibly could one be. Along with three other key members, we made sure that people didn't overwork and could meet up expectations, giving formations and advices to every level.

"I'm proud of us." I chuckle looking at her. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm proud of you. Sainty Consultation will grow even further in the future."

"I hope so." Daniel chuckles. He had also quit the Alpha Company and joined us after going through a long-year master's degree in finance. I patted his back.

"We'll make it happen." Maria smiled at me.

I nodded. Maria had considerably calmed down. She had changed her mindset after going to therapy for several sessions. She had married her soulmate last year and I was maid of honor at her wedding. She had never rose her voice again and had become one of the most competent consultants concerning pharmaceutical companies.

"Did you see Min Yoongi?" Francesca asked.

"Yeah, rapidly." I avoided talking about them. For a very simple reason. When Hoseok had slapped me that time, I had felt my soulmate mark in my left shoulder throb. It revealed a simple fact: Hoseok was one of my soulmates. It was something I absolutely hated. And that I didn't reveal to anyone.

"Congratulations on winning the prize." I looked at the CEO of the Alpha Company. Kim Namjoon was smiling brightly. I hated his guts and refused persistently to enter any sort of contracts with the Alpha company.

"Thank you. I must thank your wonderful company for that." I smile. His eyebrow twitches. I wasn't one to be stepped on. "I'll apologize Mr. Kim, but I have other people to greet. Have a great night."

I walk away without waiting for his answer. It had been tiring to avoid dealing with the Alpha company. However, until now, it was a successful mission. I wandered through the giant dining room, greeting people and accepting congratulations. I only worked with people who were ethically correctly working.

"Miss Bridge."

I turned around. Jung Hoseok was standing in front of me, Kim Namjoon by his side. He had not changed. His fake smiles. His rictus. I couldn't believe that this man was my soulmate. I was extremely glad I wore gloves tonight.

"Good evening." I answered dryly making other people look at us, eager for some gossip surely.

"I want to talk to you. In private if possible." He looked around keeping his smile on.

"I'm afraid I don't have the time." I look at my watch "Dinner is about to start."

"It won't take long." His eyes get harsher.

"You'll also meet your soulmates sooner or later. I guarantee it."

My sister's words resonate in my head. I met him. I hate him. He hates me. I look at Francesca who looks back and forth between me and Hoseok.
