Hybrid 14.1 : Unreal Discovery

"How close?"

"Close enough for it to be annoying." Hyunjin growls.

I glare at him but he doesn't lose his stance. Hyunjin is one of my numerous big brothers and although I'm not one to complain about them...He really is pissing me off right now.

"Are you saying this girl sexually harassed you?" I sigh looking at the trembling rabbit hybrid.

She doesn't deny it which makes the police officer in front of us frown.

"Hey." I crouch down to the level of the girl "Did you try something you shouldn't have?" I ask her.

She glares at me, before jumping right at me. Fucking rabbit is smelling like she drank the whole bard we were outside of. My head bangs against the asphalt and I clench my teeth getting dizzy. However, she squeezes her hands around my throat.

"A fucking human would not-!" She screams before being pulled off by the officers.

Mentally, I count to five before seating back up.

"Are you alright Miss?" the raccoon hybrid officer asks me.

"I'm fine." I whisper as I stand back up.

I pass a hand behind my head and look at it. It's bloody. The rabbit hybrid blanches slowly sobering up. Relationships between humans and hybrids had slowly gotten better over the last few decades. They were cordial...at least on paper.

"I-I..." she stutters.

Hyunjin remains quiet, but I didn't expect him to be panicked or anything. He was always like this after all. Chill and Uncaring.

"I'm good. Just file a complaint for harassment for him...But you are right, I can't and never will understand the strength of the mating call." I stare at her "But there are suppressants free of access to repress it, so stop accusing predators or humans wrongly."

She cowers as I bow my head to the officers, grab Hyunjin's arm and drag him away from the alley behind 'Luxor', a famous bar for students.

"Let go." He pulls his arm away making me stumble backward.

"Be a good snake." I grit as I call out a taxi. It parks in front of us. "Get in Hyunjin. You're drunk. You need to go back home." I give our address to the driver, push Hyunjin inside and slam the door on him.

Hyunjin widens his eyes, but the alcohol slows down his senses. I watch the car driving away with a sigh. The wound on my head begins drenching the top of my shirt despite the paper towel I put on it.

"I better get this checked out." I whisper as I step inside another taxi "To Featherington Hospital, please." I say.

"You're not going to bleed out in my car are you?" the lizard hybrid groans.

"I won't, don't worry. It's nothing much. I'm not drunk. I helped someone and got injured." I smile.

He watches me in the rear mirror and I can see that he doesn't believe me. The scent of alcohol has been clinging to my clothes, so it is understandable. My phone is barely charged, so I decide to keep the battery. I'll just text my brothers later. Stepping outside the car, I feel a bit dizzy.

Fortunately, the reception of the hospital seems empty and as soon as an owl hybrid nurse spots me she grabs me and makes me sit down. A doctor comes by. He doesn't have any hybrid feature, but I could bet that he was one.

"I'm an eagle hybrid. Stop staring at me so creepily." He sighs "What happened to you? You don't have any alcohol in your blood."

I quickly explain what happened.
