Hybrid 11.1: Who's that?

Jaebum was tired. 

Yet he couldn't believe what he was seeing. 

The hybrids fighting in the ring looked like animals. They fought until death and nobody was against it. No, the men there were all covered by a mask, just like Jaebum. Talking in low voices, unknowing that the ears of the hybrids were more than sharp enough to listen to them. 

Jaebum was silent. He was here due to a yearlong preparation.

Stopping hybrid traffic was something which worked wonderfully at the beginning. Then, the enslavers became wiser and more discreet. 

A problem for the right people.

An opportunity for the others.

Jaebum takes a look around. He can recognize a few people and he already knows who he is ending his business with tomorrow.

It's a masquerade.

"Jae are you ready?" Jackson asks his older brother through a hidden earbud

A short nod from Jaebum.

"The operation will start in ten minutes. They will now announce the highlight of the night. Don't get emotional." Jackson warns

Jaebum wants to laugh at his little brother's remark.

Emotional?

He wanted to rip off the head of each influent personality that was in this room. When Jackson told him about being part of the operation, Jaebum accepted right away. He was convinced none of his business partners were that corrupted. J

ackson had handed him the list of suspects...They were all there. It was astonishing and burdensome at the same time.

Jaebum looked at the mc and mentally wanted to puke. He was wearing a clown mask with a sinister smile. None could understand how twisted this man was, especially not Jaebum, for organizing nights like this one.

"Now, the best of the best, ladies and gentlemen. A cheetah. And a polar bear."

Jaebum can practically see the smile behind the mask. A cruel smile. Both hybrids are pushed on the ring. However, you can see that they have no want to fight each other. Jaebum can see the total panic in the cheetah's face while the polar bear remains pretty expressionless.

"These battle was long wished for by our clients." The MC announces "Fight. Or die."

The gun is pulled up, but none of them is moving. Jaebum begins to get worried. Despite a lot hybrids being killed tonight, none were openly killed like this. It wasn't the best to happen now. Fortunately, or rather unfortunately, the polar bear and the cheetah begin circling each other.

Then they start to fight.

However, Jaebum notices at first sight that they aren't really into the fight. Mostly faking. Yet, their skills are top notch. Until, a gun fire sounds. The cheetah falls to the ground, holding his shoulder. 

The polar bear rushes to his side.

Then, a roar.

A roar so loud that most of the 'clients' cover their ears while Jaebum remains expressionless.

"Mission start"

It's bloody. Once the police arrives on the scene, everyone tries to escape. The mercenaries try to make everyone escape, but the operation has been done amazingly. 

All the issues are blocked. Jaebum takes his mask off and receives several nods. Jackson walks up to him.

"You're good?" he asks his older brother
