Hybrid 12.4: Dilemma

2 years later

"Eli!"

I grin as I hide from Jungwon. He keeps annoying me and that's what he gets. I grin to myself. Life at school has been really funny. None of the Buck family members go to this school and that allowed me to be completely free. My friendship was the strongest with members of the Panther family. I always hung out around Jay and Sunghoon which made other prey hybrids avoid me.

"You are bad at hiding." Sunoo chuckles

"But he never finds me." I grin back at the puma hybrid who rolls his eyes at me

"Don't play with him too long, he is going to cry." Sunoo grins

I feel the vibrations of the floor and I make myself smaller. Sunoo despite his words stands in front of me, hiding me even more.

"Sunoo, did you Elina?"

"Didn't." the puma answers "But I think I saw something white in the backyard."

"Thank you!"

The school's backyard was at the other end of the school. I can't help but giggle. The sound ringing into the air and Sunoo sighs.

"E.L.I.N.A" Jungwon spells as he walks over

"Jay!" I call out before Jungwon manages to catch me

However, I'm caught mid run by Heeseung who sighs as he looks back at Jungwon. I hold onto him until I see Jay and Sunghoon appear while grinning. As they arrive to our level, Heeseung loosens his hold on me and I run to hug Jay.

"Did you make Jungwon go crazy again?" he chuckles

I shrug my shoulder.

"He did." I whisper

"I did?!" Jungwon's voice gets higher and I grin

"Jungwon stop screaming." Niki whines as he steps through the door of the library "We can hear you through the whole school."

Jungwon huffs as he glares at me. I grin. It's true I have been running from him since this morning. The chasing instinct kicked into the panther hybrid, but he was never able to catch me. Sunoo or Jake were the only ones able to find me. And Jay. And Sunghoon. And...well anyone except him.

"It's almost dinner time." Sunghoon steps closer and rubs his nose into my neck scenting me

It's purely a predator thing. I feel my eyes flutter shut as Jay lifts me up. Sunghoon and Jay were platonic mates. I found that out early when I came in and decided to gather my courage to ask Jay about it. I had noticed, but turns out they didn't. It made us become closer and thus I always hung out with them. The nine cats and the doe. Quite a peculiar combination.

After dinner, I go into Jungwon's room. I'm probably going to sleep hear tonight. Head Clinton, a hyena hybrid abandoned trying to separate me from the panthers. I often cuddled with them in their animal form. I knock on Jungwon's door.

"Come in"

I step inside and I am surprised to see Heeseung standing there.

"Oh, did I bother you two?" You ask furrowing your eyebrows

"No. Come in." Jungwon shakes his head, but he is hiding something from me "We were talking about the Meeting of the Families." He sighs

Once per year, during one or two months the main members of the Families met each other. This year it was at the Panther's mansion meaning that all the panther hybrids had to be present. Their leader Min Yoongi was one of the Seven who started the Upbringing. Along with Kim Taehyung, the Bengal tiger. Kim Seokjin, the Polar bear. Kim Namjoon, the Siberian silver wolf. Jung Hoseok, the red fox. Jeon Jungkook, the modified bunny. And Park Jimin, the snow leopard. The Seven of them had turned the world upside down for the freedom of hybrids.
