"So this is your office."

I bow my head. I've been excited for this internship to start. It's been a while that I had planned for it. I needed to carefully build up my dossier and work harder than ever for my grades to get the highest. I mentally thanked my parents for supporting me in getting a room here. We weren't rich, but the fees and scholarship I got compensated that financial hole.

The building was new and the office was new. Having my own lab space and my own subject also something I wished for a long time. I watched my superior, a small yet strong headed looking woman make a big smile at me. Leaving my city, where I studied and grew up, to get here to Freetown was something I never expected myself to be brave enough to do.

"I will show you where you can get ice for your reactions and those stuff." She motioned me over after introducing me the whole lab. It was still 18 people, it would take me a while to remember. I walked to the down floor and watched carefully, the electronic door open.

I was only staying there for a short period, so I wasn't allowed to have an electronic key. Yet, I was satisfied with my position. I had noticed upon my arrival that people seemed a bit uptight, but they still greeted me. Which didn't always happen in my own city.

"You are in for 10 hours a day." A guy in the same position as you were sighed "Leonard by the way."

"Eliana." You bowed your head at him

"Don't need to be all that serious with me. I'm quite chill. Or depressed." He turned away to his hood.

You watched him with a bit of surprise but shrugged and settled at your hood. Working with your superior was kind of...interesting. She explained close to nothing and you did many mistakes on the first day.

Being there seemed suddenly more tiring than you expected.

As you climbed into the bus on your way back, you reached out for your headphone, but the sudden stop of the bus made them fall on the floor. You grumbled a curse until you saw a beautiful hand get down. Your eyes met happy brown ones.

"Here." He whispered

"T-Thank you."

The Greek god in front of you was something else. You felt like you were in another dimension. His smile dimmed as you couldn't help but stare at him for a few seconds.

"Sorry." You apologized as you realized how long you had been staring.

He thinned his lips with a nod and you sat back at your spot. Putting your music on, your mind moved away from the beautiful stranger as you thought about what kind of food you needed to buy at the local supermarket. The apartment your rented was a dozen kilometers away from your actual place of work. You took the tram for 18 minutes and then the bus for 20 minutes. Worst thing was that there was only a bus every hour. I couldn't help but sigh as I stepped down the bus. I noticed the same handsome strange going down, but I didn't pay him more attention than necessary. I had enough to do and better to do than ogle a handsome guy. Stepping inside the shop, getting what I planned to get and walking back to my apartment.

The place I rented was under the roof of a huge house: meaning it was an attic that was completely put anew by the owners especially for rent. They made also student prices for me meaning that I didn't have to worry about paying rent. Moreover the apartment was really nice, a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom. All you could ask for at such a young age.

Next morning, I waited for the bus sat on the small bench when I observed two people arriving. One was the handsome guy from before who gave a small nod and yawned. The other was a little bit more impressive. He was slightly taller and his numerous piercings and tattooed arm made me stand straighter. Unconsciously reminding me of a thug. He didn't even glance at me. The bus arrived and I sat at my usual spot not minding the duo that had climbed in with me. I was surprised that the tattooed one got off at my stop and surprisingly walked to the same building that I did.
