"Mia's uncle is here," Ziva says and I nod.
"Yeah, he's with her now," I say as I walk over to my desk and take a seat.
"You all finish your paperwork and you can head home, come in at nine tomorrow," Gibbs says as he appears from around the corner once more and takes a seat at his desk. We all nod and continue our work, I take the file in my hands and begin filling in all the necessary information.
Two hours later, it's only Tony, Tim, and I left at our desks. I hear a sigh and I look up to see Tim placing his file aside and rubbing his eyes.
"Done?" I ask and he nods, still rubbing his eyes.
"Yeah, you almost done?" He asks and I nod.
"Yeah, just a bit more and I can get out of here," I say and he nods.
"Good, cause Tony's only stalling on his last sentence so you don't have to be the last one out of here," he says and I see Tony quickly raise his head before reaching for a piece of paper and crumpling it and tossing it at his head.
"Am not," Tony says as he looks over to me.
"Really?" I ask and raise a brow and he nods, although I can tell that he's lying.
"Well, finish your last two sentences, I'm almost done." Tim grabs his bags and leaves, the sound of the elevator the only noise left, besides the other agents filling out last bits of paperwork.
Tony makes a noise and I hold up a finger to shush him as I continue writing. With the last mark, I close the file and put it aside. I look up to see him already leaning back in his chair and staring at me.
"Done?" He asks and I nod.
"Yep, time to get out of here," I say.
We leave the office and head for the garage, Tony close by my side.
"Tony," I say and he looks down at me.
"Yeah?"
"I'm not running away, you don't have to walk so close," I say and he blushes, but takes a step away.
"Sorry," he says.
"See you tomorrow, okay?" I ask as we reach our cars. He nods and steps over to his vehicle.
"Bye, Erin," he says.
"Bye, Tony," I say as I enter my car and start it. He does the same and I leave, his car following behind as we exit the Navy Yard and head towards the city.
We go separate ways about five minutes later and I head for Gibbs's. As I'm driving, I gain a sense of uneasiness as I head for home. I glance in the rearview to notice a peculiar sedan driving about two hundred feet behind me. I look ahead and decide to take a right, as I drive the sedan also turns right. I continue driving for a few minutes, staring at the car and staying at a reasonable speed before turning right again. The car turns with me. I speed up and take a quick left under an overpass and then a u-turn around the walled median and taking a left to lose them. I quickly get to Gibbs and shut off the car. Sitting in the seat for a moment as I take a breath.
"It was probably no one, Erin. There's no need to start panicking," I say as I take a few more breaths. Reassuring myself, I grab my bag and head in.
"Erin?" Gibbs calls and I smile.
"Yeah, sorry I'm late, was working on paperwork and hit a bit of traffic," I say as he comes out from the kitchen.
