Hours Later, Tony's POV

"What do you think happened?" McGee asks as we all stare up at the Director's office.

"Maybe he realized where he knew her?"

"No, it's got to be something bigger."

    "Like what?"

"I don't know McGoo, pull up her file again."

He types at his computer and her information pops up.

"She looks like she did before," Ziva says.

"Yeah, but something is different. McGee pull up the brunette picture."

He types and they're put side by side.

"What's different about these two?" I ask.

"Well, she's obviously blonde, and her eyes are blue."

    "Facial structure is different."

"Exactly, so how do we know that what she looks like here is what she really looks like?"

"You think she's a mole or something?"

"Try and do a reconfiguration of her face, let's see who else she may have looked like based on the resources available, eliminating any actual surgery. Let's see if we recognize any of them."

He types maniacally at his computer and the picture begins to flip and transform to different images.

Erin's POV

"You're telling me that Agent Carter is alive?" Jenny asks as she looks inquisitively at Gibbs.

    "Yeah."

"And she can tell us where she is? She can prove she's alive?"

    "Yeah."

"How?" She asks. Gibbs looks over at me and her eyes follow.

"Because I'm her." I watch as she turns over the statement in her mind.

    "You—how?"

"I needed a way out and I knew that if I faked my death, no one would come looking for a dead woman. I bailed out as fast as I could and headed to Europe to run a new case and life."

"Why did you have to plan a fake death?"

"Some of the cases I worked while away on my deployments weren't just with the Marines, I was working for a need to know operations team that carried out contracts sent out by various government agencies. Some were for extraction, assassination, infiltration, whatever was needed. Some of the ones I worked before 2002 were handled poorly, there were some people that found out who I was outside of the group. I had to do what was necessary to make sure that everyone I loved would be safe, so I decided that the easiest way would be to fake my death. If I made it look like someone else got to me first, then no one else would come looking."

She stares at me before looking over to Gibbs and turning back to me.

"You have a lot of explaining to do," she says.

"I know, and quite frankly I think I have the time. I've recently found out that some of the cases I did may have led to the deaths of innocent people and I need to face whatever is waiting for me."

"We will discuss all of it." I nod.
She nods in return and for a few brief moments we stand still. After a beat she embraces me in her arms quickly and I hold her just as tightly as she holds me.

    "I've missed you."

"I know." I hug her for a long time, the emotions of the past flooding through me.

"Well, I guess we should get things started."

    I nod. "Yeah."

"Cynthia could you cancel all my appointments for today and the next few days?"

    "Sure."

She turns back to us and she looks to Gibbs.

"I think you should get back to your team, you have paperwork to file I'm sure. I'll call you up before the end of the day."

"I'll see you in a while," Gibbs says.

"I know and you can rest assure that I'll still be here." He nods and leaves.

"Well, let's hear it," she says as she takes a seat and I sit opposite her. Taking a deep breath, the past six years including the years prior to my time at NCIS come spilling out of me.

Tony's POV

"Gibbs is coming." Ziva whispers and McGee turns off the search. We all look up in time for him to enter the bullpen. He looks at us.

"What are you doing standing around? Get your paperwork done."

I bolt for my desk and grab a file. Glancing up I see McGee and Ziva doing the same as well, Gibbs moves to his desk and sits at his computer. He begins to type at his computer and after a few minutes he stares at the screen. He looks up to the top of the stairs. He clicks a button and turns to his files on his desk.
