Erin's POV
Timofei sighs and drops the bloody knife in his hands on the tray near my head. My body stings, the cold, dank air presses against my open and bleeding wounds. I don't know how much time has passed, but it feels like hours. It could be only a few hours since they picked me up or it can be eleven at night. This room offers no sense of time.
"Оставь это здесь. Мы продолжим завтра," (Leave her there. We will continue tomorrow.) he says. I blink once, as he clears his throat and walks away. His receding footsteps along with the other two people. After a few moments there is a loud clanging noise and I know that I am left alone.
My shallow breaths are painful as small tears seep from the corners of my eyes and I stare up at the dark painted ceiling. The lights in the room are faded and create a hazy atmosphere around me.
I don't even try to cry for help, because I know I won't be heard. My voice will be almost silent by the time anyone even got within a mile of where I am.
As the tears continue to fall, my eyes close and I try to think of anything else besides the pain and where I am.
"Stop, Tony!" I shout to him as he's splashing water from the tub at me.
"What? I'm not doing anything," he says, a smile playing on his lips as his eyes are bright.
"You're splashing me," I say with an amused huff.
"No I'm not," he argues, his smile growing. He splashes me again.
"Tony!" I laugh and his arms envelop me, pulling me towards him. I turn in his grasp, forcing my back against his chest as his arms rest around my shoulders and neck. I settle against him, the warm water around us soothing against my sore muscles.
He sighs and I feel him lay his head atop mine.
"I love you," he whispers. It echoes around the bathroom and my skin begins to feel hot. I sit up, pulling his arms away and turn to look at him.
"I mean it Erin, I love you," he says and I can tell that he is being sincere. His eyes are soft and absolutely full of love. I swallow and bite my lip before smiling.
"I love you too," I say. He smiles and I lean forward to kiss him. His rosy lips press against my plump ones and it's like a switch, the simple touch forces my body to become alive and free. We pull away and stare at each other, I smile once more and turn to lean back against him. His arms wrap around me once more and I sigh. His lips press against my temple before once more on my neck. My eyes close and I take even breaths as I play with his hands.
